I've been training for about 4 years now, but have always trained like a bodybuilder. Although I do incorporate dead lifts into my routine every other week.
Although I probably will never compete, I want to start training like a powerlifter. I've been reading a lot and thinking about trying Westside style.
I was hoping you could help me setup a program and answer a few questions. Currently because of my job schedule, I can only train on Tuesday, Thurs, and Friday. Sometimes I will be able to squeeze in Saturday. My routine right now is:
Tues - Chest & Triceps
Thurs - Back & Shoulders
Friday(Sometimes Sat) - Legs & Biceps
How should I change this if I want to try Westside?
How long does a powerlifter wait in between sets?
How many and what exercises per body part? (I currently do 3 to 4)
How many sets and reps per exercise? (I do 4 sets and rotate from 6-8 to 8-10 reps)
When I get some extra cash, I will be ordering some Westside video's. Until then I was hoping some of you could help me get started.
