Papucho, I'm not a Mexican lawyer, but I'd be willing to bet money that it is NOT legal to posses gear in mexico without a valid Mexican prescription. Where did you get your information from? I would sure hope that you are 100% correct before you advise this guy to go down there and not even worry about possesing gear. If you do a search on this site, I'm sure you will read several stories of guys that have been stopped for illegal possesion of gear.

I think you have to have a script, but most places will sell AAS without one.

Sortaclueless, if you want to cut up your best bet will be to go to a granero (vet shop). They carry winny and eq. It always helps to tip the guy at the counter too.

In fact, I'm not sure I've ever read about anyone who was actually "convicted" of possession, just cases where those criminal policias steal some money and your gear. so are you saying that if someone was to get stopped with some gear on them, and the policia threatens to arrest them and take them to jail that they should call their bluff? I've always just bargained with them and try to get the price down under $40.
that shit pisses me off so much, fuckin cocksuckers jacking Americans for stupid shit and pocketing the money. those are the assholes that keep that country in a state of financial despair. In 20 years of living near the border and going back and forth, I've never been mistreated by a local mexican, but on numerous times I've been gouged for $20-$40 by a cop. If I didn't have to worry about that shit, I'd be down there every other weekend to surf, drink, gamble, ride my dirtbike and generally spend my money.
the last time I got pulled over for speeding, I told him after I paid him $40 that that money was supposed to go into the pockets of the merchants, you know the poor suffering ones.

You're right Babbabuee, It pisses me big time when I see or know about that shit, In fact they just use the fact that most peple don't know at what extent something is considered illegal, and even so it takes 2 things get convicted for anything, one is that it is considered a crime by the state or federal law, and the other it's that it must be in the category of felony or at least misdemeanor and have an average sentence, and roid possesion is nowhere to be found, the only goverment agency that does punish roid use or possesion is the national sports comision and its branches, anyway if you are busted they will just suspend any scolarship or fund that you benefit from, nobody goes to the slammer just based on roid issues, on the other hand when I was in service we would hit sources / dealers (the very big ones), but the difference here is that we were looking for narcotics, guns and trafficking with people (eastern Europe whores mostly, or central america aliens) and most often found them with possesion of gear as well, together with other kinds of drugs, when prosecuted the charges mentioned gear, but there's no penalty for that, so it was meaningless for the D.A. since he can't convict someone for a crime that doesn't exist, anyway in the unlikely event anyone gets in trouble just call the bluff, and tell them you will be contacting your consular office.
Since I live in the center of the country, it's better for us to go to the drugstore to get some human grade gear, if they ask for prescription and I don't have it, I just give'em the finger and walk across the street to the other pharmacy, sources are only used to get imports, vet shops are like going to the deli, no sweat...

Maybe a bit off the subject, but were does Vicodin (Hydrocodone) fall in with regards to narcotics in mex?

You can find them at most top of the line gentlemen clubs, or there's some people who could "rent" you one (or many), but bro they are really expensive..
Vicodin is regarded as a class II narcotic, so a prescription will be requiered to buy it.

I think first off you should know what you want before you go down. That said, there are definitely do's and don'ts to buying below the border. I'd be concerned about getting setup by a fucked up pharmacist and having the cops arrest you with the gear in your pocket. I'm not sure i'd buy gear if there was a policia sitting outside. As for speaking spanish, if you know what you want, don't worry, they'll learn to understand you to get the dollars. How you plannin on bringing them back?
I'd strap them to my girlfriend, hehe.
