She was diagonosed with cysts on her thyroid and the doctor gave her this med to try and make them smaller. She is hypothyroidic. She has been taking this for well over a year but the doctor is now not practicing. The new doctor has kept her on it but but not checked for the presence of the cysts nor rechecked her TH levels. She has had trouble managing her weight despite hard cardio and use of clen and ephedrine. I said she should see and endo. I think it is BS to keep her on this med with no proper follow up. What sides should she be expecting from this medication and what does it do in laymen's terms?
