You need to draw your line in the sand on this issue, IMO; that would be enough for me to 'make a point'

a) Leave them there, no matter how much they bothered me, until flies started circling the sink. I'd literally run the dishwasher with MY dishes and leave the others in the sink until they got taken care of

b) New house rule: the person who can't find the dishwasher isn't allowed to use china, cutlery, or glasses/mugs anymore; nothing but paper plates, dixie cups, and plastic cutlery that can go in the garbage since it's so much easier to find than the dishwasher.


Sorry BM, but not being able to put your dishes in the dishwasher is a tad ridiculous. My ten year-old nephew knows better...so I'm sure you do too.

See the part of the story that my Old Grump has "conveniently" negated is where he has an issue with me putting the dishes in the dishwasher "wrong". He didn't have to "correct me" a second time.

There is some grace period involved. So far it hasn't completely expired. Course we do still hump like bunnies a couple times a year. Been almost three years now, so looks like it worked so far..
