IDK you can rent a boat for pretty cheap but this is generally true, depends on what kind of boat you buy and how often you want to use it I guess. We used to do that when we were younger and it was still acceptable to rent a boat. Sure, especially if you pool the money with your freinds it's cheaper. Not everyone buys a baja The last time I rented a boat was three or four years ago when we pulled up to the marina and the cops where there. We didn't think anything of it and the guy gave us our boat for the day..the cops had just finished an investigation of a guy who died on that very boat the night before and that boat looked like it had the shit beat out of it, they had partied way too hard and some guy jumped out and never came back up. That was the last time. I got pregnant and wasn't interested in being out on the water, the next year we bought our own boat.

How often do you go out on the lake each year? Here in Missouri with the weather here and our schedules, work and a baby we used it about 30 days out of the year.
