thanks but its a disaster area right now..

The bikes an 05 with 1500miles on it...i paid $8k for it...

I have owned many bikes and this by far is the sickest machine Ive ever had the privledge of riding...
 
my lifting partner has an r1. . .it red lines at 100mph in FIRST GEAR. . .that's just fuggin' ridiculous. . .love it!
 
it redlines at 13,750rpm....thats just sick itself...let alone what 1rst and second gear can do...if you get on the throttle you really have to hang on for dear life...

More people die in cars everyday...its like 100,000 to 1....ill take those odds anyday...of course shit can happen but id rather go out doing what I love...and of course if you abuse anything your gonna die or be seriously hurt..
 
how many cars are on the road compared to bikes?
especially where I live our bike season is 5 months long.

more people die in cars because more cars are driven nationwide. but I have seen more accidents involving bikes that were HIT BY CARS.

what's the point of modding a bike like that?
i see mods done all the time (at shops)
seems pointless, considering how sick it is right outta the box

strictly on looks i think the gsx looks better
the raven's front end kinda looks like a mopeds
what about a busa or ducati? do they make a better bike?

I don't think the euro bikes have been quite as good as the japanese historically. Others would know better than I would.

Apples & Oranges. Gixxer and R1's are made for agility/acceleration on the track. Busa is a straight line pig.

Ducati has historically been outperformed by the japanese, until the 1098 came out last year. It's still a little behind but its the first time they've been able to compete on performance AND price.

Tell that to a Ducati owner and you'll likely get shot. A Ducati is a lifestyle, not a bike choice. Much like Ferarri. Porche's are faster, but a Ferarri is a Ferarri and you can't take that away from them.

On the street, typically the GSXRs are reviewed better than the Yamis because of stupid shit like "seat comfort" and "position". Fuck that. If you buy a sportbike and are concerned about "seat comfort" you'd be better on a cruiser.

I'm a Yamaha guy. Fly-by-wire throttle, M1 technology on a streetbike. Redlines at 16,000. Nucking futs man.
 
Very Nice. I used to have an 04 cbr1000rr for a while till I got in an accident. I won't get another streetbike for a whil. Especially since I have kids.

from what ive seen..Yamahas come stock with better equip than suzukis and are about the same as Hondas...Its really personal pref and budget...

I agree that the R1 is a better bike (I'm biased) but a straightline drag doesn't mean shit for a sportbike. Sure it'll get you to 150 faster, but when you get some serious lean on in the twisties, you'de probably be surprised that 600's routinely carry more corner speed than a litrebike - and occasionally faster laptimes.
