After a couple trips to the hardware store, and some internet ordering...I've finally collected a decent amount of grip training tools.
--All 5 COC grippers
--Ivanko Super Gripper
--Ironmind's hub with 15" plate pin
for vertical pinch grip with fingertips
--1" roll-up bar
standard wrist roll ups with a rope tied to a bar to rollupand down
--2" roll-up bar
same as 1", just wider(tougher)
--25 lb blob
Half of a 25 lb dumbbell for pinch gripping
--35 lb blob
Half of a 35 lb dumbbell
--5 gallon Bucket of sand
hand conditioning and explosive grip training
--5 gallon Bucket of beans
easier version of the sand bucket
--money bag filled with 1/4" nuts
for tossing and catching explosively
--4x4 Pinch board
2 feet of a 4x4 with a large bolt at the bottom to add weight
--2x4 pinch board
2 feet of a 2x4 same concept as 4x4
--misc nails...from 8d-60d
for bending
--6 foot 2" steel pipe for leverage lifts
holding at the end and lifting with a weighted collar at different positions on the pipe(tough)
Next week I'm going to buy a 2" bar, and make a thick bb out of it.
Also going to use other 2" bars for a farmer's carry
(Most of these ideas are from Brookfield's books)
I WILL CLOSE(grind) A #3 COC GRIPPER
!!
I WILL BEND A 60D NAIL
!!
I WILL PINCH 2 45 POUND PLATES one handed and hold the fuckers
!!
Yes, I'm obsessed
