4 or 5 days ago, after my leg workout I was going down the stairs when a sharp pain came from my lower right kneecap. I had to slow it down and pay attention to going down the stairs. I didn't do anything too much outside my normal routine, but I guess I must have done something. Over the next few days, the pain has actually switched back and forth from my front, lower kneecap, and the back/side of my knee. Also, what sets it off has alternated between bending it and attempting to straighten the leg completely. I kid you not. At first I was afraid I had a joint issue (and that's how it feels when the pain is in the kneecap), but now I'm "hoping" for pulled muscle. It doesn't hurt when not moving, and usually not even when walking. Today it's been hurting about 1% of the time. First time anything like this has ever happened, and besides lower back pain that keeps popping up, I don't have anything else to bitch about.
Tomorrow's my legs/shoulders day again, and dammit, I don't want to waste it, but it would not be intelligent to do, no? I don't know if I can spend a whole hour on my shoulders, and I don't like the idea of a whole week w/o working legs. Since the pain has lessened, I'm tempted to say "no pain, no gain" and go at it and hope my knee doesn't give out and I squash myself on the leg press. Any guesses on what my problem is or what I can do about it? TIA.
