My Graduation Cake

Ok, so I have been looking to pick out or have a cake designed that I like for my graduation party and I absolutely love this one. I don't want to do the traditional square cake everyone does so I found this one and I will change it a little but I absolutely love it and I love how festive it is!

And I'm thinking that instead of having that bow, I will make that a diploma that hangs down with my name in it. I'm not sure yet because I like the bow and still may want to keep it that way. :) Yum!

I never got a graduation cake. I'm jealous.
But I didn't even walk. I skipped the graduation ceremony and went to South America instead.

That is an ass kicking cake, whoever made it. My sister-in-law does that so I can appreciate it, even though it's not my style. The best one I ever saw was a chocolate hat - hard to describe though. For graduation, my parents wanted to have a party (cake included) and I would have loved a half-circus or even just a small elephant to ride around the block. I think we just went out to dinner instead and let the kids throw food all over the floor.

I wasn't crying about karma - I thought that you get KICKED OFF if you get bombed a certain amount of time so that was what I was asking. So yeah - if that was the case I was going to say something because I didn't want to get kicked off. And as for me calling him an idiot .. did you read his first post? Well read it and then get back to me. People assume too much and make a thread more out than it's supposed to be. I posted a pic of a cool cake that I liked so big deal. It was nothing more than that.

If someone was acting like a prick to me, I would say exactly what I said. Did you read his posts? Totally juvenile and there was no need for it. I get along with basically everyone in real life - so I don't usually have this problem. I don't see how I was making enemies with this thread, either. It was a cool cake and that was it. Believe me, if I wanted to sit and brag (as many say I do about princess this and princess that shit) I could brag about much better shit than a cake or party.... THAT is why I get annoyed. I am not bragging about anything....

If you like that cake ; and someone is gonna get if for you ; why not? It would be a cool centerpiece for a table at a graduation party.


I love throwing parties and really get into every party I throw. So ; I understand the reason behind wanting a nice cake for decoration reasons ; and just because I like to throw fabulous parties.

Though ; that cake might be a little pricey for a graduation party ; you could spend it else where.

I think its a cute cake. :) And well, why not?

I think that they think that its wierd that someone who is throwing just a regular BBQ would have such a pricey and high maint. cake.

But I do because I like to throw parties. I throw good ones. But most people dont upwards of 600-1000 bucks for a cake at a BBQ. Not sure if I would either but if I could somehow get a deal ; then I would sure ; why not?

No one is razzing you for having completed your undergrad degree. I have already given you kudos for that as have other who DID complete their schooling. Heck, I got married instead of finishing the schooling that I PAID FOR...

Just take a step back and TRY real hard to put yourself in the shoes of others. Perhaps a little humble pie would be more appropeau?

I grew up with money. a LOT of it- my parents paid for my college and graduate school too, plus spring breaks and anything else i wanted. and as soon as i saw that cake I laughed at the rediculousness of it.

I didn't even click and see what the cake looked like until this was 4 pages long. I just thought it was funny and sad that an adult had to go onto a steroid and bodybuilding site to brag about the fact that her parents are going to get her a cake and throw a party for her graduation. I'm just thinking Billy Madison. It's kind of worse in a way knowing it's a $1,000 dollar cake. Makes it seem like bragging about the price of the cake. It is not "just a cake". It is a VERY EXPENSIVE luxury item.

Me? I could care less how much money you or anyone connected to you or anyone who you never even met spends on anything. It affects me not.

That was NOT my intention. So no one on here ever posted a picture of a new plasma they got? Or a new car? Or a car they are going to buy? Or a motorcycle? Etc? I've seen MANY people post things like that. And who cares if I didn't bring up BBQ? Why would you assume? The thread was about a cake that I was excited about - and that is all. Take it whatever way you want. Just because you grew up with money doesn't mean you think like I do - that was not my intention. I had never seen a whimsical cake before (no joke) so I was rather excited.
