My first fun sunday(strongman style)

well today i trained events for the first time. what a fun adventure it was. 95 and sunny covered in gnats and sweat. i did good mornings first as my ME move of the day made a 10 pound PR on GMs normal bent knee arch back shouldr width stance. then off to the events i went.

GMs 275x1
Atlas stone 10 reps with 175 stone onto 55gallon drum with tire on top
tried my 216 stone 3 times got it up on my thighs bout couldnt get it on the barrel.
Sled drag 100ft 276 pounds followed up immediatly with 100 ft 400lbs in wheel barrel, i was ready to drop;) .
i then went into ohp my first time ever doin them. i managed only 95 2 sets of 5 but its a start. i have never cleaned a weight before so i had to get taht down first.

was very fun i cant wait till next sunday to do it again add some more weight. i am working on getting a tire:D that should be fun. well just thought i would let you know i joined the craziness that is known as strongman now and i love it.:fro:

i am gonna overhead press on tuesdays but i jsut needed to get my clean form down and get my wight strait. i had never done it before. and i need mroe events. i am open to suggestions for good events to add. and yes i mad ethe stones turned out well i will post pics my cameras batterys are dead. here is a site to make stones http://www.bodyresults.com/S2stone.asp teh link at the bottom can help to. kingc79 made some to but he used real molds might want to go here for info on that. http://boards.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=247280 thanks for the advice and it was very fun i cant wait till i get my tire.

what kind of routine are you currently following?
 
yeah man that would be cool extra ideas always help. i am curently training wsb. i plan to do my ME move on lower day but then dont do the hamstring or core stuff just do events instead. then the rest of the week i will do normal wsb but add in some overhead work. if u wanted to send it via email this is my email adress [email protected]

i have not decided what i am going to do next week. hopefully i will get my tire or build my farmer equip this week. if not i wnat to finish welding my axles for my thick bar(differntial and housing assembly) for thick bar deadlifting. should be fun no matter what i decide;)
