My first fight tomorrow

One of my main reasons for bodybuilding is revenge, and to do that i needed to gain substantial weight and strength. After gaining 40lbs and a huge boost in strength (160lb bench, 220lb squat, 200lb dead), its now time to test out my strength. This kid name John, back when i was a freshman, took advantage of my small size to push me around (he was 170lbs and still is 170lbs 18% bodyfat or more). in class he would constantly throw paper at the back of my head, and in the halls he would push me against my lockers. The continuous humiliation hes put me through made me snap which led to a brutal fight outside of school. unfortunately standing up for myself at 120lbs wasnt a good idea and i got my ass handed to me. But 2 years later im back at 160lbs and im ready to seek him out tomorrow, and pound that son of a bitch with my fists.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

sorry to inform you that size isnt everything in a fight. He may weather your undisciplined storm and when you tire pound the living shit out of you. I hope you have been working on your boxing, wrestling and jiu jitsu as well as lifting weights.....good luck! :)

i have not been working on any form of fighting style, some scrapping with my friends is all. my cardio is terrible as ive completely ignored it because my main goal was to gain weight and i think that is whats going to make or break me tomorrow.

Maybe you are not ready yet to take revenge.

When you are ready, there will be no need for retaliation. This road of angst you took will lead you to a good place, you wouldn't want to leave.

If you are still doing it tomorrow, i think you will still struggle. I am almost certain that your size has become a liability. But good luck anyways.

Bro, trust me. Start crosstraining along with your weight training.Cardio is VERY important in a fight!!!Start training in Kick Boxing, wrestling, Brazilian jiu jitsu. Find a MMA school or club in your area, keep lifting. And over time, after you actually become a good fighter, you wont want to fight anymore. You will learn humility from the real badasses in your fight club from sweating together, bleeding together and getting your ass kicked.

Listen, if you go off half cocked tomorrow and get your ass handed to you, it could ruin you mentally forever!!

Also, never fight when there are witnesses. Unless your life is in danger.

lol, i was a security guard at some event, and there were other inhouse(private) security gaurds around. They were all hot shots and stuff.

This girl worked in a dental office... we were fuck buddies.

I walk her out to her car, and one of those gaurds yell, "hey man, look at me, i got two and you got only one." With chicks under his arms.

I yelled back, "Mine just gave me a blowjob!" And it was true, we just had a short session in her office.

That shut em up, and all the girls flushed red!

10 seconds is enough if you know what you are doing. But you are not ready. That guy is right. Just don't embarrase yourself.
 
well after a long thought and the many opinions I've been given here, I've decided to not go for the fight tomorrow. ive realized that

1. my cardio is terrible
2. I'm not that big
3. i have limited experience in fighting


Yeah ill still be pissed off whenever i see him in the halls or in class (he doesn't push me around anymore, but still runs his mouth all the time), but hopefully by the time i AM ready to fight, ill be mature enough to not. but thanks guys, you really changed my mind about things.

Fighting is the most exhausting thing you can do. Mostly because the untrained hold their breath in a fight. They shoot their wad right away with a huge flurry. then the adrenaline fades and you are done.

Trust me I was huge(260 12% bodyfat) when I began Brazilian jiu jitsu. I worked at Golds Gym and all I did was lift with local Amature bodybuilding contest winners. I got into jiu jitsu and I would throw the little guys around for about 30 seconds, they would "weather the storm" then triangle choke me or armbar me from the bottom. It was a real eye opener. 7 years later and I still cant get enough of it or kickboxing. all the guys in those clubs are badasses and they are the nicest guys ive ever met.

Weight training is great, but it is anerobic when done with high weights, low reps.It does not condition you for a fight unless it is done the right way. It took me awile to retrain my body to use oxygen more efficiently. CROSSTRAIN!!!! :)

i actually thought size determined the outcome of a fight, with a few exceptions. thanks i never knew that. btw is there a way to learn MMA without actually going into a school for it? i live in canada and their is no form of MMA school, but we have plenty karate, wushu, taikwando, and self defence schools which IMO seem really pointless.
 
most fights last one minute tops. I know how you feel. Revenge is great. I kick myself in the ass for the times i never took revenge. It gives closure to something that makes your blood boil when you think about it. fight dirty. Kick in the balls poke the eyes. Just dont kill him or paralyze him. Whatever you do keep up posted.

Dont get me wrong, If a strong guy goes up against a little guy and they both have the same level of fighting skill, of course the stronger guy will win. no exceptions. you can find a mma school in canada. Ever heard of jean st. pierre??? baddass canadian. or get some dvds and trainwith your buddies. keep liftin too.
 
You need more Zen. Learn to respect the sound of one fist thumping.

If you really want to do something constructive, sit down with the guy over lunch. Ask him why he behaves like such a dick to everyone. You might each come away richer from the experience.
 
This is great. Now he'll have a bigger target to hit when he pulls out a knife or 9mm and puts you in A & E or worse.

Since this is planned ahead of time there is no reason this should not be recorded.

Give a friend a camcorder and then post it up for us to see afterwards.

really no amount of size is going to help you if you cant take a punch.I have known a lot of big guys that have never lost a fight because they never got hit.then they get into a fight with a guy that can take punches with them and they get there fucking ass kicked.once you can learn how to take a few blast to the face and not bat a eye lash then you can be a tuff guy.any one can win a one punch fight.real fighters can get there ass beat yet still win the fight.if you can take pain then your better of not fighting at all.
 
He gonna spend the next years adding more mass and mastering various forms of martial arts, go see John and John will shoot his ass and the state will claim it is self defense and John is free to go.

If I were you and you suck at fighting, try for the double leg or single leg take down. Just go for a leg and shoot him backwards till he falls on the ground, Then when he is down, make sure to get your legs over his torso. Then just pound his face a bit till he quits.
 
Don't bother fighting the guy.
Keep working out.
Learn how to eat properly.
Study boxing or karate.
Have sex with tons of women. Thats right. Just have sex with all of them all the time.
You will forget about the guy. He will be nothing to you. The reality is he is nothing already.
 
I hope you dont think that "gym" strength translates into real world, practical street fight prowess....

This story reminds me of when I was 11 years old and my best friend and I were the toughest kids on the block in our age group. We had a bunch of friends that would get together and play football and stuff nearly everyday. One day, he embarrassed me by pushing me off my bike and sitting on top of me. His older brother and brother's friends told him to do it. I was too scared to fight back because of the older kids, so I went home and cried.... I waited for my revenge. One day while playing football, we got into an argument and I beaned him in the head with the football. He went into a rage and was crying and starting chasing me. We ended up in my house in the living room, duking it out. It was a draw... I definitely felt good about taking revenge.

LOL Biteme. I used to hang out with my brother and his buddies that were 3 years older. We were playing baseball and the bully of the group started picking on me and pushed me down. I found the sharpest rock I could and tagged him in the back of the head. He got stitches and I got left alone by him after that. Took me hitting one of the other friends with the side of a snow shovel and the other in the stomach with a putter before everyone left me alone. I was always a wild little kid.
