My ass is growing....

Debu,

There are many women that stop squating or leg training because it makes those areas bigger, problem is not the training, it's that they are too lazy to control their bodyfat. For many it is far easier not to work legs than control the diet so they can fit into smaller pants. However, until you can learn to flex fat, I'd do the diet and lifting.

All I can say on this topic is I LOOOUUURRVE the way my ass is growing from big, fat, full, deep, round, heavy, throaty KICK ASS squats!

Bounce! :moon:

OK I'm not "lazy" my diet is clean and consists of low carbs and high protein....I'm on top of my diet, I guess I'll just give it more time and see if another drop in bodyfat occurs....then we'll see if I still complain about my ass!

And another thing about squatting is my knees....they've been bothering me alot lately....maybe I'm not stretching enough but it puts alot of stress on them....I dont want to give up squatting but what else can I do to avoid so much on the knees? Sheesh I'm only 20 I shouldn't already be having problems with them!

You said it W6!!! That is EXACTLY what I did. It is harder to contro the BF so I did stop training legs to fit in my jeans. I never went heavy then either, I would squat 4x20-25 reps of 135. I'd keep doing more reps but never added more weight cause I didn't want to get "bigger" hee hee. What a wuss huh? So I am back to squat'n but haven't got to the BF part yet.

I worry about kneestoo, being a runner. Any of the big time squatters care to comment on sqauts and knees? I do squat, but I worry...

Are you using proper form? MAKE SURE OF IT!

I am a teeny bit older than you and have had a few puppies... the only time my knees bother me is when using the 90 degree leg press (we were using this to concentrate on our quads) and hack squats - WHICH I NEVER DO..... as they hurt my knees.

Good old fashioned squats have never given me a problem and I have moved more than 45# in my day. tee-hee

As for your ass growing, GURL THAT'S A GOOD THING! I am 34 years old and for now I dance to pay the bills. I work with MANY girls your age. As I get my tip, I often tell the horndogs, "If you can find a girl in here that has a tighter, harder ass than me... then I WILL TIP YOU." - This usually gets me another, bigger tip. tee-hee :D Ah men.... gotta luv 'em!

"And another thing about squatting is my knees....they've been bothering me alot lately...."

99% of the time, that means improper form.

Use a wide stance, make sure your knees do not come forward over your toes and sit back into the squat, squat only to parallel and don't bounce at the bottom.

I agree on that one, i went a lil too heavy last week, and my knee is super sore, cause i tweaked it a lil to the left, trying to over compensate i guess....ouchi!
