My 30ml vial of prop exploded!!!!wtf!!!

So instead of warming my prop as I usually do by putting the vial in a hot bowl of water, I tried something different. I went to Wal-Mart and bought this candle warmer that heats glass jard candles from the bottom up and turns the wax into liquid. Went home placed my 30ml vial of prop to warm it up and waited about 20 minutes until the glass felt warm. Work great the first time, smooth and no soreness. Next day, same thing, put it on the heater, wait 20, go to drop a deuce and suddenly I hear a loud bang in my bedroom. As I walked in I seen glass everywhere and my pbl label soaked in oil on the heater.

I guess the heater condensed to much air pressure from inside the bottle.... But then why don't vials explode when you put it put it in the microwave???

make sure the tip of needle isn't submerged in oil or else it will siphon oil out of vial.

It'd be worth the precaution measure.

Guess it depends on your definition of "hot". If I were to boil water and set the vial down in it, i'd vent it with a needle. If I was warming a vial with a heating pad then I wouldn't.
