My 2 yo daughter broke her arm.

A 6 year old boy pushed her off a chair they were both sitting on, one of those wicker ones where you see at weddings and stuff that brides sit in. Anyway she broke her elbow and got a cast now. We just got back from the HELL of Emergency room and she was admitted for the night at the hospital. Very traumatizing for her AND us.

My wife asked the boy, did you push her? He said "YES" She asked "Why?" he said "Because" lol

She told his parents and they just sat there and did`nt say a word. wtf? That angers me. I was`nt there, just my wife.

I`ve had 1 hour of sleep since Saturday morning... This sucks! and some of you are gay.

awww, that sucks. i hope she's feeling better soon.

I'm sorry to hear. I hope your little girl heals fast. To the Abyss with that shit-head boy!!

Thanks a lot. I`m sue she`ll heal but the problem with elbows can be permanent in nature. Time will tell. SUCKS! I need sleep bigtime! Stop bothering me. lol jk Really appreciate it.

They were both on ONE chair or both on the same type of chair?
I suppose silence is better than the "WELL, accidents happen?!!" response.

Poor thing, I feel your pain about the ER - I was the Fri and Sat of last week.
JOY.

they probably wanted to say 'damn the boy I told you those computer games were no good' but didnt want to further inflame the situation

were they staring at you vacantly like they didnt give a shit or did they look bad. either way if they saw your child crying its probably enough to make sure he get punished.

I was sure you had arm-wrestled with her but no.... That sucks, it's sad that kids do such stupid things and don't even realize what they've done. U should steal that boys bicycle or say to him that his father cheats his mom.... with the preacher.

When your daughter has recovered successfully teach her how to get that little 6 year old boy back, twice as brutal too!!!

lol abou the very last bit.

That really sucks, GL......

I hope she heals fast. You should probably have a talk with the parents of the kid who pushed her off the chair. I'm sure they feel bad about it.

im surprised social services isnt putting you under the microscope for suspected child abuse, yet. in fact, it wouldnt surprise me if some of the doctors/nurses there are asking your daughter, without you or your wife present, if 'mommy and daddy hurt you'.

send their parents the bill...if they refuse find a personal injury lawyer and have them contact you. They'll pay up right away I am sure.

and no, i am not joking or trying to be funny.

my mom, who works in the *dental* field, is required by law to report anything that is 'suspicious' on a child; bruises, broken limbs, cuts, scrapes, etc.

Good point actually about suspected child abuse.

I mean GL (in his avatar) doesn't exactly fit the average daddy. (being a muscle head father playing in EF chatboards etc)

I was`nt there at the party (sweet 16) there were about 70-100 people there and all saw it in the open, you could`nt miss it when it happened.

They were both sitting on the same chair, it was those big wicker chairs that brides sit in sometimes for their wedding reception pics or whatever. My wife was watching her the whole time EXCEPT for when they (daughter and the boy) sat down together. My wife even commented on it to her mother "Look how nicely they`re sitting together" lol Then 5 seconds later it happened.

Thanks for the replies. They do heal fast. I just was worried because it`s an elbow. I`ve had a couple friends with problems like that after breaks with elbows.

yes but it also depends on the injury pattern

if someone has a graze on their knee they get a band-aid, or a open fracture on their leg after cycling

if they have a fracture indicating abuse or bruises and cuts in area;s unlikely to be accidental don;'t you think it is worthwhile to at least follow up on them?

She'll be fine, GL.

Don't stress, these things happen with kids.

Sorry about your wee one, GL. One night in the emergency room with your child is one night too many.

Go beat the hell out of the boys dad right in front of him.

Damn man, sorry to read that. How is she doing?

Are you going to have the kid whacked?

I would of thrashed the parents and the little boy.

Was it a bad break? As in worse then a harline fracture?

She will be fine.. Kids heal well at that age..

My Daughter would walk up to this kid next time she saw him and whisper

"when you least expect it....."

I was a hairline fracture, sort of. But it was in a bad location in the elbow and in a certain place where blood clots happen or something...growth plate or something... That`s why they addmitted her for observation. They usually dumb it down for people but my wife knows all the terminology and I just stand there and look stupid while they talk.

After a (semi) good night`s sleep I`m feeling a little better about it.

PS My wife got food poisoning last night and woke up vomitting al over the place. lol She called in sick today. We is falling apart.

Did you at least Hold back her hair ?

.

Dude. Listen to the fat old guy and kick holy shit out of that kids dad right in front of the whole class. You could then help him up and do the Zen Respect thing.... or pee on him while he's down.

You make the call.

My daughter broke her arm on the monkey bars when she was 6. It was pretty tramatic, but those things happen. Kids bones are pretty rubbery at that age, and heal easily.
When I took mine in to the ER, the admitting nurse gave me a hard time, definately trying to point the finger at me. The way I was feeling right then, she's very lucky I didnt punch her in her old wrinkled ugly head.
Think about it this way, at least its not summer so you wont have to keep her out of the pool/lake/ocean while its hot out.

Hope your daughter gets well fast. I know you are an emotional wreck.

I am with Wodin. I would have hauled the father out in the middle and snapped his leg with the figure four leglock. Then did the Fargo strut over to the mom and laid some knife edge chops across her tits.

The other parents were probably silent because they were scared of having their pants sued off...

Now-a-days everyone takes everyone to court...

Sorry to hear about that GL...

Naa you cant blame the parents. Kids that little do crazy stuff.. Bite, hit and pinch. They dont realize even at 6 that they can really hurt someone.

You dont want to stick your kids in a glass hosue but you try to protect them.

I understand kids are kids. I was`nt there to see what happened. I AM upset over the fact she was pushed and it could have been avoided. She`s gonna get hurt sooner or later, but it`s better if she was jumping around, playing at a playground doing something physical, even jumping off the bed or couch at my house would have been better than the way this happened.

She was traumatised by the way it happened. She kept repeating for over an hour while crying "He pushed me, the boy pushed me" She was shocked he would do that. lol She`s got a lot to learn about life, I guess.

What I`m trying to say is, it was a "criminal" type act that hurt her, and not an accident while playing. That`s what angers me.

wasnt directed at you gonelifting.. just at the people who thought you should take it out on the parents.. I mean they should apologize.. but just because their son pushed her out of a chair doesnt make em bad parents or make him a bad kid.

He i sjust a little kid and most of the time children are ruled by emotion.

I do think the parents should apologize and punish the kid. But unless the kid has a history of beating up on other kids.. I woudl just write it off as a bad accident. I highly doubt he wanted to really hurt her when he pushed her off the chair.

Ha, that's funny. My 5 year old daughter recently broke her collarbone from falling off a chair. That was 4 weeks ago and she is already fully healed. So it won't take long for your little one. They heal so fast its amazing.

You should show her some old Dusty Rhodes bionic elbow moves for the
next time she runs into Mr King of the chair dude..
