more important for abs:diet or training?

Diet, diet, cardio cardio.

Of course its diet. You can have a huge six pack from hell and still be 30% BF, but no one will se em. Only way to see em is get that BF down to 10% or less. Hell even little scrawny guys with no mass can have abs with low enough bf.

its all bf...how often to u see a skinny little kid with defined abs? almost everyone has some sort of 6 pack underneath imo

Diet. If you want 'em to stick out more than add more weight to crunches and other ab exercises.

you gotta train em' so when you shed the bodyfat you'll see em'.you gotta diet and mild cardio or you won't see shit.diet..............

my diet from last winter up thru last week was 6 days no carbs and 1 day carb up-I lost 15 lbs, but now have loose skin covering my abs-I'm now on 3 days low carbs 2 days high carbs and repeat-what can I expect from this change?

Diet and cardio. Pretty much in that order.

I always love it when I over hear someone in the gym bragging about how much ab work they do, and about how great they will look in 2 months with a new washboard.

Then they drink that big carb replacement drink....

Diet and cardio.

I have a friend who has the most intense everyday ab training program I have ever seen.

When he puts on bodyfat, it goes to his upper and lower body, and his abs are always cut.

It seems to me that training should have a lot to do with cuts. I am pretty ripped and vascular in my upper body, no matter what my diet is like, and I don't think it would look that way if I didn't train.

My abs are a different story, which would be explained by the fact that I don't train them intensely at all.

If you take a look at most guys into bbing, they have visible abs at all times, yet they are not always in a low carb/high cardio phase.

Training has a lot to do with it!
