Mixing Fats and Carbs

SublimeZM said:
well im bulking but i dont wanan become a huge fatt ass.

but also, a question is that article seems to be talking about body fat, and not dietary fat.
in other words it seems like its saying you will burn stored carbs in the cell before you burn the stored fats in the celll, but it doesn tseem to adress the healthy fats being taken in while being taken in at the same times as carbs? or would it not make a difference

If the cell is full of glucose, it will more readily accept that as an energy source than the fat, fat converts poorly to energy. Do a google search for Lyle McDonald, and Will Brink, I've listened to them post for years on the newsgroup misc.fitness.weights and they are excellent sources of cited studies for anything dietary.

What I am worried about is your take on the fats stored, you may be micro-managing it too much. You are going to gain fat as you gain muscle, only those new to training and those that are chemically enhanced will not. Now, that being said, You can keep your body fat % the same as long as you are gaining muscle & fat in the same proportions as you already have. Since you are on a bulk cycle, keep an eye on your body fat to maintain it. not decrease it, as you are gaining lean body mass.

yeah, im not worried so much abotu getting fatter as i realize it will happen, but im just trying to keep my fat gains as little as possible,

i mean, if eating fats with carbs is making me needlessly gain more fat to muscle than i need to, then i wanna avoid it.

but i dont wanna avoid it untill i know over lets say 75% that its bad...lol ANPB and apples taste so good

There is nothing wrong in mixing carbs and fat per se

It all depends on the type and quantity of those carbs and fats

so a followup question, is something rich in omega 3 fatty acids the same as other fats.

like should one not mix something like salmon with something like oatmeal, cause of the omega 3s in it
