Mixing Fats and Carbs

Sub-Zero

High End Bro

alright, some people say its okay to mix fat and carbs, and some people say to avoid it like the plague.

my question is, which is the right way? and which particular carbs if there are a few should i avoid while eating fats.

for example if i mix ANPB with a carb such as an apple, will it have any effects fat storage wise as just simply eating the ANPB by itself, or does adding the carb cause one to store more of the fat?

thanks for the help

Actually there are carbohydrates in your ANPB, When eating carbs, I try to go for carbohydrates with low glycemic indexes, by that I mean that they covert to sugar at a slower rate.

As far as fats, try to limit saturated fats and those that are fully or partially hydrogenated. Good sources of "good" fats are Tuna and Salmon, and flax seeds. Your ANPB is good because it only contains 2.5g saturated fats out of a total 16g fat, none of which are hydrogenated. If you look at Skippy or Jif, you'll see they remove the peanut oil, and add cottonseed oil and sugar as a replacement.

does this mean i can mix ANPB with apples?

I'm more of a calories in = calories out, go for a deficit if you're cutting, go for a surplus if you're gaining kind of person. You could eat an apple with natty PB I see no problem there except after like 8PM, where I would limit all consumption to slow-digesting proteins

bad post. im not cutting, im bulking, i want a caloric excess. and before bed guess what i have on PURPOSE? ANPB and cottage cheese and soy protein, all slow digesting proteins, so i dont eat my muscles alive while sleeping.

as for the natty pb with apples does this mean that carbs in fact have zero impact on insulin/blood sugar or whatever it is taht pushes fat into fat stores? cause some people back up with scientific stuff or some sort of support other than their opinion that it doesnt matter, and some back up with scientific stuff or some sort of support other than their opinion that it does.

can someone answer my question?

PS; im not trying to be a dickhead i just really wanna know and it seems like your doging my question because you may not know, and i dont want you to give me advice if you dont know- its fine- i have no idea either, which is why im posting this

I was a bit confused too. Here is a clip from the below link....HTH :)

"Basically, a cell will not convert fats into energy if there is glucose present. When the cell has carbs and sugar to work on, it will not convert the fat to energy, thus the fat gets stored."

it seems though that is more for animal fats though.

what about healthy fats such as ANPB's and stuff is it the same thing?

alright thanks alot for that.

so basicaly carbs and fats are a nono.

No prob. :)

My friend that competes said he has carbs/protein/fat in OFF season. While cutting he NEVER mixes carbs/fats.

If your cutting, I would say it's a nono.

well im bulking but i dont wanan become a huge fatt ass.

but also, a question is that article seems to be talking about body fat, and not dietary fat.
in other words it seems like its saying you will burn stored carbs in the cell before you burn the stored fats in the celll, but it doesn tseem to adress the healthy fats being taken in while being taken in at the same times as carbs? or would it not make a difference
