Nail in the coffin? It's a fantastic choice. He'll destroy Obama/Biden in debates about healthcare.

How does everyone feel about this? Scuttlebutt is reporting this choice to be a nail in his presidential coffin. And if this doesn't bring Plunky back, nothing will....discuss
Both will increase the deficit so I'm not sure what everyone is excited about.
The two of them together just doesn't seem to feel right to me. No nothing about Ryan's politics except for that plan he made to cut the deficit. Maybe Romney needs that to fill that hole of his as his plan is kind of weak sauce.
ryan pulls the undecided and the tea party group.. game over
Ewe, Mormons. Can't trust em.
I'll kill you in public with a 6" diameter dildoe that is 3 feet long.
You can trust that!
Trollololol.
Oh, and Paul Ryan is a Catholic.
pdaddy is a mormon?Paul Walker is a mormon though
Well if WI was on the fence, the GOP certainly wins now
Ryan will carry his district, but he polls horribly in Wisconsin (around 38% approval). Obama will carry Wisconsin.
Ryan's a fucking tard, and his economic plan only appeals to those who know dick about economics.
Explain why you think thats anything close to an apt comparison. You're right. Wisconsin showed its overwhelmingly liberal voting trends back in June.

pretty much says it all
Does anyone really think anything will change here? Nothing is really under Obama than it was with Bush. We got debt, no matter what we'll get more. We're still at war, probably will be in a new one sooner than later. People are still out of work and the rich are just getting richer. Nothing is going to change because for that to happen people will need to give shit up, and that's just not going to happen.

What's he done with your money, and how much of it?
I only ask because (and I assume you know) government spending under Obama is lower than under any president over the last three decades.
I know these days partisan politics trumps facts, but come on.
Wait, the president sets the gas prices?Really?? how much you paying for fuel??
Wait, income tax rates have risen?income tax is only a small part of taxation... and i would rather pay my money to tax attorneys and accountants than to continue to support everyone else..
maybe you are part of the 52% that don't pay taxes??
sorry but please.... opinions are like assholes everybody has one and they usually all stink wouldn't you agree??
You probably also think your individual vote counts right?? the elector body is all that counts, and guess how those people are chosen picked..

Things have gotten progressively worse over the past 50 years. You're right - so far no president has really altered the course in a positive way (except for Clinton).
Unfortunately were stuck with two shitty candidates, but Obama is Mother Theresa compared to a Romney/Ryan ticket, especially if they get into office with a modern GOP house and senate behind them.

Oh, and Paul Ryan is a Catholic.
How the fuck did Clinton do anything great?...
Short answer, pretty much yes. He's a very conservative, Roman Catholic. Is it true that Paul Ryan has voted against abortion, gay marriage AND birth control? I think I also read somewhere that he would vote to reduce taxes on the 1%ers and increase taxes on the middle class, anyone else hear this?

Hey bud, your sales reps are great, but when you're living here in your Graceland, you can be some judgmental sumbishes.
I don't know much about him yet, but I think the fact that he's a Catholic, will debunk all the rumors that Mormons stick only with Mormons, when it comes to business and government. Mormons and Catholics don't generally mix, as they both declare that they are the "only true church", thus the other must not be "true". Basically a Romney-Ryan ticket is a strong statement to support Romney's open-mindedness! And from what little I've read thus far, Ryan knows the score on fixing the economy.
Charles
Short answer, pretty much yes. He's a very conservative, Roman Catholic.
He's extremely anti abortion. Actually voted against having crimes against gays declared hate crimes. Doesn't believe prisoners deserve any form of assistance once they get out of prison, doesn't believe in rehab programs for current prisoners. Is against medical marijuana and medically assisted suicide.
Here's what I don't get ... everyone wants "government to be smaller" and it's ALWAYS people who want to get up in your personal business (gayness, abortions, marijuana use) who want it. Smaller government, but nosier, I guess![]()
Mormon's are too wacky. I'd vote for a JW before a Mormon.
You got that backwards bro.
In which ways are Mormons wackier? And please tell me you did not just judge strictly from the south park episode. Mormons can be stupid, but also some of the kindest people I know. With exceptions, just like everyone and everything. So I'm curious why you are bashing Mormons?
Take your pic:
- God was once a man like us.
True. God's reason for us being here was to have us progress and become like him. He became the way he is by doing what we are doing now.
- God has a tangible body of flesh and bone.
True. Luke Chpater 24. The ressurected Jesus has a body of flesh and bone. God likewise is of the same perfect form. Perfectly logical.
- God lives on a planet near the star Kolob.
True. He's gotta live somewhere. We live on a planet closest to a star called "Sun". Whoa, crazy, right?
- God ("Heavenly Father") has at least one wife, our "Mother in Heaven," but she is so holy that we are not to discuss her nor pray to her.
True. Everyone has a father AND a mother. Why should our heavenly parents be different?
- Jesus was married.
True. God commands everyone to marry and "multiply and replinsh the earth". Jesus was no exception. The first person he appeared to after the ressurection was a woman....
- True. We can become like God and rule over our own universe.
"Is it not written that ye are gods?" "We shall become heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ."
- There are many gods, ruling over their own worlds.
This is merely theological speculation, although I don't discount it.
- Jesus and Satan ("Lucifer") are brothers, and they are our brothers - we are all spirit children of Heavenly Father
What's wacky about that? Satan was a spirit creation of God, so are all of us. That makes us brothers by family relationship to the father. Completely logical.
- Jesus Christ was conceived by God the Father by having sex with Mary, who was temporarily his wife.
Not accurate. That was never said. Jesus was concieved and is the literal seed of God, yes, but nowhere does it say that mormons belive God actually came down and banged Mary. God can make conception happen by other means.
- We should not pray to Jesus, nor try to feel a personal relationship with him.
1. True. e pray to Father in the name of Jesus. "Pray to the Father, always in my name"
2. Bullcrap. He is our Savior and a personal relationship with him is very important.
- The "Lord" ("Jehovah") in the Old Testament is the being named Jesus in the New Testament, but different from "God the Father" ("Elohim").
True. John Chapter is where JEsus claims to be I AM, so they picked up stones to kill him for claiming to be God, but he fled.
- In the highest degree of the celestial kingdom some men will have more than one wife.
Again, theological speculation.
- Before coming to this earth we lived as spirits in a "pre-existence", during which we were tested; our position in this life (whether born to Mormons or savages, or in America or Africa) is our reward or punishment for our obedience in that life.
Our test was to follow Gods plan, or that of the fallen angel and his demons (satan). Being born American, "Mormon" or in Africa obviously aren't the only few options in life, don't ya think? God's reasoning for placing us at birth where he decides really isn't known for the most part. Aside from the foreordination of Prophets, we don't really know anything.
- Dark skin is a curse from God, the result of our sin, or the sin of our ancestors. If sufficiently righteous, a dark-skinned person will become light-skinned.
Cain was cursed with dark skin, and his seed have dark skin. That doesn't mean black people are cursed by God. Your skin color doesn't change with your righteousness. This whole statement is blown WAY out of context.
- The Garden of Eden was in Missouri. All humanity before the Great Flood lived in the western hemisphere. The Ark transported Noah and the other survivors to the eastern hemisphere.
All of humanity did not live in the west prior to the flood. That's ridiculous. Mormons have never said that. The Garden very well could have been in Missouri. Nobody knows how long it existed before Adam and Eve ate the fruit (Pangea, perhaps), and their being expelled from th egarden could have winded them up elsewhere. Once more, it's speculative. Very recent scientific findings have shown that western civilaztion dates way further back than previously thought.
- Not only will human beings be resurrected to eternal life, but also all animals - everything that has ever lived on earth - will be resurrected and dwell in heaven.
Okay, so why's that weird? Also this is not written in our canonized scripture.
- Christ will not return to earth in any year that has seen a rainbow.
False. LMAO, I have never heard this before in my life.
- Mormons should avoid traveling on water, since Satan rules the waters.
False. An old wives tale. Nothing more.
- The sun receives its light from the star Kolob.
False. Not an accurate statement according to the LDS. The sun obviously produces its own light from fusion.
- If a Gentile becomes Mormon, the Holy Ghost actually purges his Gentile blood and replaces it with Israelite blood.
False. That's ridiculous. That is not a mormon belief.
- A righteous Mormon will actually see the face of God in the Mormon temple.
Any righteous person can see God if he choses to appear to them. This makes it sound like any worthy man will see God in the temple all the time. Duh, not true.
- You can identify a false angel by the color of his hair, or by offering to shake his hand.
Based upon a statement given by joseph smith, an angel of satan attempting to appear as an angel of light, which has no pysical body, will attempt to shake you rhand if you offer it and th e angel will try to decieve you by shaking you rhand, but since he is not physical, you will not feel it and you will know it is an angel of satan. An angel of God will not attempt to decieve and a ressurected being can shake your hand because his body is physical.
If such a thing were to happen, as crazy as it sounds, it makes sense.
Does anyone really think anything will change here? Nothing is really under Obama than it was with Bush. We got debt, no matter what we'll get more. We're still at war, probably will be in a new one sooner than later. People are still out of work and the rich are just getting richer. How much of this were you really confident about being accurate? Probably all of it, lmao. SMH.
See above. Bro you obviously don't really know much about it, do you? Just repeating stuff you have heard from ignorant people who heard something from somebody else who didn't know what they were talking about. Or posting some list of stuff from a website not associated with the church that obviously publishes false information.
You can spread misconceptions and purely fabricated stuff out of your ignorance if you wish.
Yes, I think things will accelerate in the wrong direction with a GOP Presidency.
I cut n' pasted it from a website ran by an ex-mormon. That's no different than any off the useless crap you posted either. Just 2 assholes with opposing opinions.
Look at the defecit increase made by the Obama Administration. That's called acceleration in the wrong direction at its finest. You think they will change their ways the second term? Hahaha, no. We need someone different.
I didn't post an opinon at all. Neither were those things you posted an "opinion". It's either the truth or a lie. I posted what the church actually teaches wiht explanations, and dispelled complete untruths. You posted facts, many of which were blatant lies. I know what the church teaches much better than most mormons do (not to sound cocky, but I do.), and definitely better than someone who is not mormon.
Much of the stuff you posted was completely fabricated to make mormons seem extra crazy, and/or wihtout providing and context or logic behind it. It was very misleading.
Look, I'm not really interested in going off on some huge debate about it. I'm just not going to have someone post lies about something, and then degrade the integrity of a people out of your ignorance by claiming it to be true when you don't really know better. That's bullshit bro.
The good thing about giving a cat medicine is that if more of it ends up on its face, it will just lick it up when your done anyway.
What makes you an expert? Go ahead and address these couple little bit's of "news" I borrowed from the same web site.
July 2012 A recently published in Free Inquiry estimates that the Mormon Church donates only about 0.7 percent of its annual income to charity; the United Methodist Church gives about 29 percent.
July 2012 Mormon Church claims 4 times as many members in Brazil than the 2010 Brazilian census data. Both the JW's and Seventh Day Adventist's membership claims are consistent with census data. This is another example of inflated Mormon membership statistics.
Aug. 2012 update. The Mormon Church's City Creek Center shopping mall and condo development is at 3 billion dollars (or more) per Salt Lake Chamber's Can-Do Coalition. The entire redevelopment of downtown SLC is: Five Billion Dollars An organization that spends more on real estate to develop malls, condos and resorts ($500 million in Hawaii alone) than on helping the poor is, by any definition, a corporation, not a religion. The published figures range from $1.5 billion for the mall to $3 billion. $5 billion is for the total development downtown. The Mormon church does not open its books. We have published figures from KSL and Deseret News - both Mormon owned. Thomas S. Monson, the Mormon prophet at the opening cheered, One, two, threelets go shopping! He has rarely spoken in public since.
Feb 2012 The Mormon Church has become even more intrusive by requiring members to wear their sacred long underwear [garments] even while doing yard work.
Jan 2012 The Mormon Church's humanitarian aid now amounts to $6.73 per member per year - from an official Mormon publication.
Feb. 2011 Multi-level marketing companies are second only to tourism in bringing in revenue to Utah.
lol you guys. all religions sound crazy to me. i mean, really. I find it funny when a christian talks about how silly another religion sounds. they all sound silly. let's be real.
my daughter's day care provider is a nice mormon lady with a nice mormon family. they are very family oriented and she takes good care of my baby. that's all i care about.
I like this ship, it's exciting.
Shouldnt you be home caring for your child and stuff
