Do Methoxy-based products work? Like EAS's new MethoxyFactor-Anybody care to share their experience with it.
I dont know about EAS products but everyone I know including myself had no success with methoxy products. Total waste of money. Its been proven to work on rats and thats it. My friend asked the guy from Syntrax what were the results when tested on humans and the guy (Derik I think) never replied. My friends question is still on the guestbook at syntrax.com. Have a look, the date it was posted is 1/24/2001. At the moment its on page 71-80 but this changes every few days.

I've used 900mgs of methoxy and got nothing from it pretty much like everyone else who's been suckered into trying this rip-off supplement. Save your money dude! Also I think that study was done on castrated rats. So what the hell a castrated rat has to do with a healthy human is beyond me!
I thought you guys might be interested in reading this. Its my friends and I copied it from another message board. I was one of the 19 people in the test.

I will show you methoxy does NOT work if you bother to read my points.
(1) Posted in their guestbook on 1/24/2001 at www.syntrax.com (who make the rubbish Methoxylon) I asked what were the results for methoxy when tested on humans, not rats. After 3 months, no answer. Have a look for it if you dont beleive me.
(2) I decided to test out methoxy with 18 others. We used tape measures and scales. 17 of the 19 noticed no results. Nothing. The other 2 noticed a slight muscle gain and a slight fat loss. It was so slight no one else could see it. This also could have been to other factors not methoxy. (eg change in diet) 19 of the 19 said methoxy is a waste of money and they will NEVER buy methoxy again.
(3) Again I asked Derik from syntrax what were the results when tested on humans, not rats. (posted on 3/22/2001) This time he answered:
"The only information on methoxyisoflavone is on the patent by Chinoin in Hungary. Since we were the first company to introduce methoxyisoflavone to the market we do have several anecdotal reports by thousands of consumers with very effective results."
This does not answer the question and the test done at Chinoin were on rats, and I think sick ones at that, not healthy humans. Do you really beleive there has been no tests on humans after 20+ years?
I know there are people who say methoxy is the best. My conclusion about these people is they dont know what they are talking about or they work for a supplement company creating this hype that we now have with methoxy. The products we tested were Biotest Methoxy 7, Syntrax Methoxylon, Higher Power Methoxy Mass, Gen MX7 and one other I cant remember.
Products containing methoxy in it with something else only work because of the other ingrediants. An example is Methoxygen from Vpx sports. It works not because methoxy is in it, but because it has 5-androstene. So why then do they include methoxy when it doesnt work? Simple. There is this belief, by consumers that methoxy does work. They read the test on the sick rats and said "Hey, it worked on rats, so it must work on me too." This false belief has made methoxy in big demand. And anything with methoxy in it is selling faster than a prostitute when the sailors are in town.
The truth is, I really do wish it worked like they say, but it doesnt. Not even close. So if you read this, and still decide to buy a methoxy product, you are an idiot and deserve to be ripped off.

The above post is great information... It's sounds to me like you are telling the truth about the Methoxy.....
The thing is this new MethoxyFactorHP by EAS has some kind of stuff called Ecdysterone... I am taking it right now... Just started a week ago and I am unsure at this point whether it is doing much... I think it is.... Anyway What I am asking now is Has anyone heard anything good then about the Ecdysterone? Syntrax is now selling this as a stack to copy EAS ... Do they Maybe work together Synergisticly? EAS has some info on their site that talks real good about it. And I talked to an Amateur body builder out here where I live who is pretty built and he said he had lost 3% body fat and gained a pound of muscle after 2 weeks on the stuff so I decided to try it out... I am waiting till I am through with the bottle to see what my results are but I will post them up here with my before and after Weight and everything.. The day before I started taking it I took all my measurements so....

I've read EAS's info on it but i'm not convinced. EAS hypes everything they sell like it's the greatest thing ever thought of.Not only that,while I do have respect for Bill Phillips, he is out to make a buck just like the next guy. Phillips also remarked in his 1997 supplement review that EAS was the inovator not the imitator, seems like Phillips is not quite as inovative as he used to be. Methoxy has been around for awhile now. Either he's so loaded from the other crap he sells or his mind is slowing down in his older years.Anyway I don't know if I buy into all EAS's hype anymore. I've tried numerous products they've put out and have found that some of there stuff (BETAGEN and CYTOVOL to be specific)doesn't seem to do much of anything. Maybe i'm wrong.Any other opinions about the great and mighty EAS. Not only that if you look in the archives you will find a thread on Methoxy being an estrogen receptor sensitizer. Possibly something you would not want to stack with an andro based product.How about some feedback from you med students out there.
