I really was rear ended once.

I was in a 4x4 2500 Dodge Crew Cab work truck stopped at a red light when a Miata hit me.

It was so low I couldn't see it in the rear views. I got out to say wtf??? then realized someone hit him and launched him into me.

The Miata was fucked up ... the Dodge truck didn't have a scratch

See someone (ortho) for the neck, seriously. I know someone who had untreated whiplash and it bothered her for more than a decade until she found a good chiropractor. If you are really resistant to seeing a doctor at least get a soft cervical collar and wear that for a week or two and start taking Advil or Aleve.
