check out the medical issue forum. i have some threads in there with a bunch of other bros. xanax is what i take. they might give you an SSRI or SNRI. anti-depressants. seems to be protocol when dealing with anxiety.

Xanax and valium are the best for anxiety IMO.

Anxiety and depression are two separate issues.

Have tried almost everything

For Anxiety, Xanax works, and is fine. Just very addictive.

For depression

Prozac works

Everything else and especially the med designed to cure “both” are a waste of your time. Xanax does not affect gear.

i was on Prozac and told my neighbor that i was gonna cut his dog's head off with a shovel. to each, their own....

What is your anxiety like and when do you get it?

bro, my anxiety was os bad , i was just waiting for things to jump at....life was so hard, and my doc put me on lexapro and i have been the calmest i have ever been, and i only take a .5mg dose per day, not even a full 10mg tab.....the stuff rocks.!

I don't know. Some things seem to trigger at times. I think too much about things like the future, where I'm at now, shit with my parents, shit with a girl, to name a few.

Bro if you wanna talk about anxiety come to me, ive had it for 5 years non stop. ive tried every med there is. MY doc said i probably have one of the worst cases of anxiety and panic

It really depends upon what kind of dog it is, nothing to do with anxiety or meds,

See you sound perfectly normal, you at least told the guy.

Some people may simply cut the puppy up in to pieces and put them in a bag, and put the bag on top of his carburetor in his car.

Anxiety attacks are sudden surges of overwhelming fear that that comes without warning and without any obvious reason. It is far more intense than having anxiety or the feeling of being 'stressed out' that most people experience. One out of every 75 people worldwide will experience a panic attack at one time in their lives.

The symptoms of a panic attack

• raging heartbeat
• difficulty breathing, feeling as though you 'can't get enough air
• terror that is almost paralyzing
• nervous, shaking, stress
• heart palpitation, feeling of dread
• dizziness, lightheadedness or nausea
• trembling, sweating, shaking
• choking, chest pains, distress
• fear, fright, afraid, anxious
• hot flashes, or sudden chills
• tingling in fingers or toes ('pins and needles')
• fearful that you're going to go crazy or are about to die

I have it real bad, i have most of those symptoms 24/7. i always think im gonna drop over dead from various health problems even though ive litterly pretty much test and scan in a hospital. Its hell living like this

I have anxiety attacks every now and then for th past 3 years, some attacks were very svere to the point of passing out, and feeling like I was having a hart attack etc.

I can now control it with B-complex (50 mgs of each b vit.) 4 times a day with B-12 500 mcg. sublingual 2-4 times a day.

K-mart has the B-complex the cheapest i've seen in 200 count bottles,(10 bucks) Walmart(Rexall brand) has the sublingual B-12 the chapest I've ever seen in 200 count lozenges.(about 4 bucks)

Inositol (a b-vitamin also) and phrnylalanine (amino acid) are also used to treat anxiety naturally. I have never tried these 2 though but check out beyondacentury.com for these 2 in bulk cheap.

KARMA!

I've had panic and anxiety for 20 yrs. It was bad in my late teens early 20's, I became house bound for almost a yr. I never took any meds. I went to therapy and that did not work either.
I ended up just facing the pain of it and "doing". In my early 30's I started taking xanax (as needed) to get me through the tougher days.
I am 40 now and am 95% cured of panic attacks. It was not the drugs or the therapy that made it better. it was just facing the fear.
Xanax is great but very addictive.

im suprised no one mentioned Kolonopin. i have been on and off of it for years. Its a great med. IMO not as strong as Valume or xanax. and Buspar made me feel like i was gonna die.

so Kolonpin is a good drug. i just take it as needed now

I also had a severe case of Anxiety and panic disorder, Not so much the type of anxiety that made me want to snap on people I think that may be something a little different, but rather the type of Anxiety that made it hard for me to breath and made me have to close my eyes and kinda freked me out, I'm taking an absolute ATTACK, where you feel like your going to DIE Each and EVERy time it happens. The Doc put me on .5 Lexapro and I opted for Kolonipin as it has the same effect as Xanax except 1 lasts all day and you dont get so much of (The High) Tired, Run down, tranqed feeling. Also is about 1 10th as addictive, This worked wonders for me to this day its been almost 5 years and not 1 attack. Think ver hard before deciding to go the Xanax or Valuim route as they are VERY ADDICTIVE and the withdrawls are worse than Heroin and can Kill you. Kolonapin is still technically a BenzoDiazapine but is much milder and in most cases more that enough to control the Anxiety. It's just that Alot of people Prefer to get high and figure if they can legally get away with controling their anxiety and getting high at the same time then... Trust me, just do your research first bro. Peace, Drols

I'm not trying to downplay what you're going through... everyone deals with stress differently... but it also seems that you're stressing over very normal things....so first and foremost, try to convince yourself of that... understand that those concerns are just part of life and there's no need to work yourself up into a tizzy over it... take more "time-out's"... take some time-off... do some breathing/relaxing exercises... get a massage... try some OTC calming stuff like chamomile, kava kava...and the best advice is, remove yourself from the stress (or remove what's causing the stress)... easier said than done, I know...but sometimes you CAN do it!

Now if none of this stuff works, then see your doctor (especially if it ever gets tot he point of having "bad thoughts" about yourself or life in general)... I've never had depression but I do get anxiety often... I've been dealing with panic attacks for years now... they get really bad, to the point where I feel I'm going to black out or even just drop dead....and they come on with no warning, even when I'm completely calm and unstressed.... years ago, my doctor put me on Prozac and later Paxil (not for depression but for panic attacks/anxiety)... I HATED IT... I was a zombie on that stuff, even at lower dosages... I wasn't myself, had no personality, no libido...nothing... I eventually weened myself off... and my doctor prescribed xanax for me to take "as needed"... to this day, I still only take it "as needed"... valium works ok, though it's not as strong...

Good luck bro... stay calm!

Some of the best Fast acting anxiety meds

1. Xanax
2.Valium
3.Klonopin

Some really good long term meds

1. zoloft
2. prozac
3. buspar
4. paxil (I had alott of sides on this)
5. Lexapro

Ive tried alot more then just these, but the ones that seemed to help alot are xanax, klonopins and prozac. Everyones diffrent and theres a bigger variety of anxiety meds out there the key is to find out what works for you

zoloft @ 100mg ed works great for me.

i also use betwen 1-3mg xanax per day. sometimes i'll switch it up with klonopin about 2-4mg a day of it.

buspar literally made me feel like i was going to fall over dead.
made me feel so shitty that i wished i would

I've very curious...many men are not open about their anxiety. Do the ppl in your every day life know you suffer from panic disordres?
I know so few men that suffer so wondering if they just keep it quiet.

i'm pretty open. if someone asks, i say "i'm having a panic attack, if you tell anyone, i'll kill you after it passes."

a panic disorder doesn't make a man any less of a man... it's a neurological disorder... I don't see why a guy would have any trouble admitting it (unless he doesn't want to come off as some kind of crazy freak *grin*)

I agree 100%, no one is less of a person talking about any issue they have.
I think men are more ashamed to admit this issue b/c they feel it will make them look weak. I think it makes them look strong.

Slyder190 I hear you brother, been battling the same things but dont we all from time to time. try Rhodax by pinnacle it contains Rhodiola Rosea it helps relieve evertday stress and Anxiety. It costs about 20 dollars. Go to your doc ask him for something lite such as Zoloft if you dont want to dive into xanax. He should help you along the way. Good luck stay in the gym that i a great reducer to stress.

I do the exact same thing and take half a 10mg tab a day and its worked great. I vote Lexapro

Ok i know i sound like a broken record, but try phenibut powder bro at 740mg per day, it actually helped me to get rid of the anxiety completely.

I know a fiew people aside from myself who keep quiet about their anxiety problems.
I for one have both PA's and Agoraphobia, I run my own business (automotive repair) and my customers wouldn't understand. I tried explaining to quite a fiew of them, most think you are trying to weasle out of going on a test drive your playing hookey from the shop. I had 1 customer said big deal go get some pills and get over it. Needless to say his car never got fixed, called a tow truck and had it dropped back off at his house.

I myself have tried a bunch of diferent meds with no luck on finding one that works yet. Its been 5 years now :(

Yes.. me Klonopin , makes me tired as fuck though =P but works

Mindless sheeple. This shit ios way overprescribed. Smoke dope-at least you'll still be you. On the govt shit you become someone else-sedated, stupid, and submissive-incapable of distinguishing good feelings from bad. Ever watch the news where somebody kills their whole family??? They're always on one or more of the drugs discussed in this thread when they snap. And you guys think this shit works??? I think I'd rather be anxious or depressed than homicidal and/or suicidal.
