I recently bought a log also,and used it for front squats yesterday.It is different but it works.I think it will help to get used to positioning the log correctly and help with leg drive.The only discomfort I got was from the log pushing into my adams apple.So far Ive done curls,rows,clean and presses,sort of a snatch warming up,and am going to try lockouts,inclines,and possibly a jm type overhead press.I tried overhead extensions and they seemed to put my elbows at too much of an awkward position which didnt feel too good
