Mcdonalds Cheeseburger = ultimate bulking food?

I picked mcd' in particular cause they don't add any shit to it. Just 100% beef, seasoning and cheese on bread.

Cheap. A nice macronutrient breakdown - a good balance of CHO:Protein:Fat. And tastes great.

I used to adhere to a more 'clean' bulk. But this is a more efficient alternative imo. I've already started drinking a gallon of milk everyday.

Now if I introduce 2-3 double cheeseburger too, would it be a worthy addition?

Just for giggles I put the stats for a Micky-D's cheeseburger in my diet log. The macros are breakdown to be 20% Protein/44% Carb/36% Fat. Horrible macros, bulking or not.
 
Ive never ever kept track of my macros, and I eat whatever I want. Just do it but not all the time. I think i might go pick me up a big mac meal right now

Yea I go to a JC, about to play football here next year. I dont live on campus though, i dont even think I could since its a JC.

I have a huge breakfast, 1000-1200 cals. Then Ill have 2 PB+J sandwiches, huge bottle of milk, protein bar and cottage cheese in a little cooler I bring around school. Then I have a shake when I get home before my workout, a shake after workout, and a snack before bed,

Sometimes ill make 1PB+J and make 1 turkey, but i like the PB+J's because its high calorie. And itmakes me eat more protein at night and less carbs. JC is junior college.

Oh nice, i gotcha. yea im waiting to take my SAT's in March 2010, thats the earliest they got an opening for. im trying to go away to a 4 year college, hate living witht the parents. im suprised you stay so lean eating cold cuts and bread. i gotta stick with plain brown rice and plain chiccken breast with mrs dash, basically everrythin i eat is bland when i diet, kinda like pre contest dieting. '

You know what you gotta try, pb and honey, right now, thats one of my meals, 2 scoops of muscle milk with 2 cups of whole milk, and 3 pb and honey sandwiches. and the honey is better for you then jelly (jelly ha high fructose corn syrup). that shit is da bomb bro.

so how many meals you eat a day? and you eat around the same time every day right?
 
I live with my dad and stepmom, i know what ur talkin about. It sucks but free food and rent for now which is nice. what do u mean cold cuts? Im lean but im not totally ripped, id have to eat like u to do that. I still cheat a lot, eat sodium like a bitch, hella milk, but i dont change it since i can see my abs still. The day I dont see my abs is the day Ill be flooding you with messages on a good diet LOL

the pb and honey sounds bomb!! ima do that from now on, always wanted to have honey in my diet anyway. Thanks for that. I eat around 5 meals a day, but its OK for being so busy. on weekends i eat all day so i just snack on good things. When Im in a quick rush i have 2 cups milk, 2 pieces ww bread and i eat 2 big ass spoons of PB. Ennds up being 900 cals. I always eat the same time unless its weekend and im hungover lol

so many better places to get better burgers...
no intention to offend anyone... but my first job 12 years ago was working at mcd's and just the thought of their burgers make my stomach turn...
my favorite burgers:
1. farmer boy's farmer burger
2. in and out 4x4
3. gillman's ranch burger (local place)
 
I haven't had a hamburger in over a year if I ate one I'd prolly start eating burgers everyday kinda like alcohalisim haha but ya mc donalds is crap I heard they did a study were a guy ate only mc donalds and nothing else for a few months and he became very very sick and unhealthy, I never read the story myself jus heard about it

Haha, yeah im kinda the same way, i dont get too fat even if i eat fast food. i can still see my abs. i guess cuz we're both pretty young compared to most of the guys on here. cold cuts = deli meat (for sandwiches ), its all processed meat packed with sodium, lol. yes free food and free rent is definitely a plus, im trying to stay home as long as possible. and yeah bro, the honey is alot better then jelly and i can throw down 3-4 sandwiches with a muscle milk shake in about 10-15 minutes. and thats well over 1000 cals.

as a sophomore i could cook and would eat about 5 whole eggs and 1 cup of oats every morning, shake 2 hours later. 2 salmon burgers and spinach or broc for lunch, nother shake post workout, and a huge dinner, usually either chicken or red meat with some spinach. then some cottage cheese before bed always.

basically having a shaker with prot powder to drink in between classes is crucial.
my one buddy would kill a rotisserie chicken during bio a few days a week as well.
hahaha.

you are better off eating a bunch of red meat from walmart and spinach.

Yeah i dont have a problem eating 6 small meals a day but that would keep me very lean, kinda like a cutting diet. im trying to get to about 200 pounds at 5'6 then cut to 175-180 and maintain that bodyweight and bodyfat. im only 5'6 so i dont want to be more then 175-180 and thats pretty big already. i wanna be able to move with my weight, not just be big and ripped.
 
Dude I feel you on wanting to be able to move, i dont want to be a tight wound up ball like a lot of guys I see. I like the ahtletic look but still big as fuk! Basically if you cant eat 6 times a day, eat a lot when you Do eat. I like iggs advice too, PB and spinach after 7. And bring a bag of peanuts with you everywhere, 1 cup is 800 cals.

i need to cut though because im at about 16-17%bf. every time i bulk i just gain back the bf% i lost and get lazy. i'm strong, but want to be at about 9%bf 175-180lbs. thats my goal....

Meal 1: 1 cup of oats (dry), 6-8 egg whites, 2 whole eggs

meal 2: 2 coops of whey (low carb ones like ON), an apple or banana

meal 3: 1 cup of brown rice, 8 oz chicken breast, turkey breast, lean beef, or fish

meal 4: same as meal 3

meal 5: same as meal 3

meal 6: 1 cup of fat free cottage cheese or 2 scoops of casein, or 6-8 egg whites and 2 whole eggs

that would keep your bodyfat around 8% and it wont be as strict as other diets because you will be eating carbs in all meals except for the one before bed. also, you can add a little more carbs if you feel depleted but i doubt you will.

Yeah i tried that for about 8 weeks, it did get me to about 9% but it made my mood very crappy. you would think im a girl with mood swings. lol. palumbo's keto diet works well for me but after a while, i feel depleted and week. im just gonna go for a 5 month regular clean diet with morning cardio, low fat, mod carbs high protein diet, same thing everyday and see how that goes, maybe do that for 3 months, then switch to palumbo for 8 weeks and get under 5% ;)
 
glad, skippys used to be my favorite. then i switched to Peanut butter and co.'s organic dark chocolate, white chocolate, and honey bee peanut butter. its much better for ya then skippys and the best tasting i've ever had. they got it at every walmart now. check it out.

The OP said double cheeseburger, but there is nothing wrong with that breakdown either. Unless you're in competition preparation, eating according to stringent macros breakdowns is very impractical.
Besides, the more isocaloric the diet (With a relatively lower Protein % ) the better.

um the thought of eating that much in one sitting makes my tummy hurt.
 
almond butter is nasty, i like to enjoy my life lol. if i ever get fat i guess i could switch to anpb or almond butter, but i LOVE my skippys creamy. nomak thats a good diet right there, bland but it will do the job

Yes that diet is bland. Thank god im not dieting, haha. right now im having whole eggs scrambled with a few slices of american cheese, packets of flavored oats, marinades chiccken breast and steak, white rice, pasta with vodka sauce or alfrdeo sauce, muscle milk or whey with whole milk, pb and honey sandwiches on white toast.

you get used to it, at first i was eating 2 whole eggs then 1oz oats and like 150ml whole milk made into porridge.

now Im eating 5 whole eggs, 500ml whole milk then 2.25oz oats, 25g apricots, 100g blueberries and another 200ml whole milk made into porridge :)
