Max out for chest....What then for Back?

I recently (yesterday) maxed out on the infamous flat press. Before I go into my next workout which will be back. Is there a way I can max out my back and even out the stress?

Veterans and experienced individuals please. You will only look uneducated and a fool to everyone else if you are not (experienced). Thanx guys!! Later.

Please

Mr. Tough,

I did ask a question? Please re-read what I wrote and if YOU are experienced and can help me, feel free to post a message. I don't need fortune cookie responses like "it would be wise to take your own advice". Save your grace for someone who actually cares. If you happen to be someone that can simply answer a quesiton without the sarcasm or stupidity, please write me. Thank you.

Bro, you really need to consider the back in two parts: the middle and outer. Therefore, I would max on 3/4 deadlifts and bent-over rows. Hope this helps.

Try dead lifting....that is if you know what it is you cocky PRICK.

Why don't you try posting an intelligent question to get an intelligent response from the quote on quote "veterans and experienced individuals"

polish.....actually, it is a dumb question or stated incorrectly you chose wich...because you ask
<" Before I go into my next workout which will be back. Is there a way I can max out my back and even out the stress? ">

before you go into your next workout? what are you gonna try your max at home then go to the gym?

and yes there are lots of ways to max out your back....are you saying you don't know any and need us to tell you?

is there a way to even out the stress? well, i would hope so or
all of us weightlifters would have some pretty fuc*ed up looking bodies....so before you go off on one of your i'm anymous and a
macho guy rants.....think about what you are asking and rephrase
it............tri~zilla

Thank you for your response. I did, however, want to know if that was a possibility (maxing out back). Thank you for your response. I am a confident guy and in no way pushing the envelope, or trying to be macho. I understand how people can become intimidated and feel the need to insult others. Is that you? Hold the B.S. comments and help me if you can.

No Clone

I do know what deadlifting is. Thank you for your response as well. You calling me a "prick", that must have took a lot. It hurt me a lot too bro. Clean it up before someone cleans you up. It doesnt matter how big you think you are guy, its how you are down on the ground that matters.

Greg 21

Thank you for your response. Cut and dry. I apologize if you had to decipher the verbage. I obviously was not paying full attention when I posted it.

polishhammer1977, sorry but don't go trying to flame members when you are a newbie. We are a tight crew here and have each others back...

To help answer though here goes:

I think the best exercises for maxing out back would be T-Bar Rows, One armed dumbell rows, and deadlifts. Good luck.

"Don't get Cocky Kid"

and how are gonna clean anyone up?

you don't know where he is.....and what are you gonna track him down over an arguement on the internet and teach him a lesson?

If you are maxing out on bench and then going straight to a back exercise here is what I would suggest.

Max bench - 4 reps at minimum
Max deadlifts - 4 reps minimum

I wouldn't go less than 4 reps if you are a bodybuilder and not a powerlifter. No need with the chance of injury.

Mu opinion...

Polish,

In my opinion, it's exactly like how "Greg21" put it. Have to do "deadlifts." Stiff-leg deadlifts, I would throw in also for lower back. Go slow down to the furthest stretch you can, and go just short of lock-out going up,...don't straighten out. Do them slow, and use good form. They are great if done correctly. You will get a hamstring workout sure, but keep in mind, you also use hams, and whole body in deads, so make sure to be "fresh" when you do em'. Although, you could substitute "stiff's" with "hyperextentions" with strict form. This requires less hamstring. Up to you really,... but definately do the "deads," they are key in building a gret thick structure for your back, and pretty much whole body too.

Hope it helped.

The Italian Monster....:)

Thank you. That's all I wanted. I understand that I'm new. But I am not the new kid in school that lets people push him around,
"sort of speak". Not trying to flame anybody. Just trying to learn and put more things together. I hope I am understood. Thanx man.

Bodytemple & NC

Thank you. Very informative stuff. I appreciate it a great deal.

Other guys talking shit. Lets all end it here. Im not one for talking and I see a trend beginning. Im out of it. I just want to learn.

Adios

t-bar rows...

damn good exercise.

Go heavy, but stress.... "as strict as a form as you can on each exercise!" This is key. Do basics, as suggested here by the other bros,as well as myself,...but deadlifts are to back,....as what squats are to legs... Capice?

Again,..hope I helped...

We welcome all here and try our best to help everyone. All you have to do is be polite about it. None of us like seeing bullshit clog up the board, so ask your question humbly and plenty of bros will be happy to respond. Threaten someone and it only makes you look stupid. I've e-mailed many cocky fuckers info on where to find me but its funny that no one actually follows through :o .
It doesnt matter how big you think you are guy, its how you are down on the ground that matters.
If you and I are on the ground, it means I have you in full mount and am pounding the shit out of you. No need to be an internet tough guy here.

Welcome to the board and relax. We're all here to learn and help

This same guy just posted about a deca and var cycle,he said he was new to gear but was well educated about training ,now he's asking what back exercises to do to keep his back in proportion to his front?? sounds like he don't know as much as he claims.....
so my advice to you young sir ,would be leave the gear alone learn how to eat how to train, then maybe consider gear.until then
give the bro's in this room the respect they deserve........

That's funny. Polish is super insecure, it doesn' take a genius to figure that out.

And for the record, I've found it's much more productive to do your back the day before chest. Monday-Back; Tuesday Chest. If you want people to help you, you need to learn your manners, or you'll be the "new unpopular kid in school". Just advise, take it or leave it. The old, "Don't answer unless you're a vet or mod you stupid asses" is good way to get there fast.

Guys, lighten up on him. Polish obviously does not speak English as his primary language. I sincerely doubt he is even aware of how his wording sounds to native speakers.

You are a disrespectful cocksucker.

Maybe I should start this again. My bad on showing any disrespect to anyone. I do not consider myself an expert to say the least! I am looking to learn from people who know more then me. That is why I wrote in my initial thread that I wanted responses from veterans and expeirenced individuals. Which seems to be most of you, not all. I know a few things and I threw an idea out there (towel pull ups) for an alteration of. I appreciate the responses. Later.

Very easily to max out your back,
start with some weighted pull-ups than some extremely heavy barbell rows. Do about the whole stack on wide-grip pulldowns along with close-grip pulldowns. Whole stack of cable rows. And then if you have enough in you do some heavy deadlifts.

I never claimed to be an expert. I never asked that question either. The word "proportion" was never used. Respect is earned, not given. I am not knocking anyone. I appreciate the response anyway.

Wartime....
Merry x-mas to you too big guy.

Sofageorge.....
I appreciate it.

Mischief....
thanx for the advice on how to ask questions.....and for the advice on training back....

Thaibox....
Thanx for the help...Im a humble guy...I never made a comment that I wanted an email from you to "find you".

This is funny shit to read. Cause alot of you guys have a high post count you think you're the shit. PLEASE!!! I suggested this board to PolishHammer so he could learn shit for informative people. Some of you clowns need to stop flexing your keyboard muscles and chill the fuck out already! Enough with the flames and insults. If you stood toe to toe with this dude, you'd shit your fucking pants!!!

Mischief, what's your defination of insecure??? The way you talk you make yourself sound like you weigh about 260 and could beat anyones ass...which is funny cause I read through your posts and you say you weigh 175.

Just help the dude out and cut the bullshit!!!

Thanx guys...im out!

Thanx to everyone that wrote on the post. Sorry if I came off the wrong way. Thanx again. Even the 170 pound tough guys. That is really funny.

To max out back; try weighted pull-ups as mikelong23 said, but the best way I feel is heavy bent-over rows and deadlifts. back is kind of hard to max since there are many angles and it is easy to cheat a little here and there. I personally suggect a 20 rep set of deads to give back girth....

and watch it now with 170lbs comment, there is no need to slander on weight basis alone. i'm only 187 now, then again I'm 5'7-8 at 7-9%

In this order: deads 3X5, weighted pull-ups 3X6-8, bent-over rows 3X8-10... and then one set of unweighted pull-ups to max

...and you will definitely have exhausted your back.

Yeah "PatsFan34"? I go between 170 and 200. Right now, I'm exactly 175. If I wanted to weigh 250, I could, easily. But at 5'7, no thanks, I have a normal life too. And at 175 I bench 405, for reps, I row 365, for reps, I squat 495, for many reps, I straight leg deadlift 405, for reps. Yeah, that's right, I weigh less than you AND I'll whoop your ass in the gym or otherwise. Don't believe me? I'm not a confidential, fictional internet spoof, I live in St. Louis and Sacramento. Right now I'm in STL, why don't you come here and see me? Dead serious.

And why don't you pull your face out of Polish's ass. Any reason you see the need to but in and fight other people's battles for them? Because I'd guess your not qualified to do so anyway. S-T-. L-O-U-I-S. PM me, I'll shut your ass up real quick.

Mischief, thanks for the laugh bro, I needed that!!! Alright, you can go back to telling how tough you are now...TOOLBOX!!!

Toolbox, you say that alot, got "tools" on the brain a bit? Insecure? no. If I was insecure, or anything but confident in myself, I wouldn't seriously invite you here to train. For all I know you could live in Chicago and it would be very possible, or NorCal, that would be easy too. I don't need to pretend I'm tough, matter of factly, I just am. I lift pound for pound every single day with guys that outweigh me by up to 100 lbs, so if your going to make the asinine correlation between bodyweight and authority to make statements about anything, it's no problem for me to show you that you're totally wrong. So, the offer stands, let's see if YOU think I'm tough (because that is SO important to me)

Bro, you have some serious issues if your calling me out over the internet!!! I'm glad you have some much confidence in yourself!! That'll get you far!!! But obviously I'm not gonna make calls to hunt you down so you spend the rest of your life swimming with the fishes!!! This is the internet guy, i take all this with a grain of salt. If you crossed me in real life, then you'd find out the hardway. Now shut the fuck up and stop being a pussy ass Biatch!!!

LMAO at everybody on here.

Polish, I do not understand your desire to "max out" bodyparts. Is this just for this week or do you want to "max out" which I guess means "train to failure" every week?

If this is indeed what you mean then do a search in "CNS" and "failure." You will learn a lot.

As far as the question by back I assume you mean upper back. I see lats as the complimentary muscle to the pecs and erectors as the complimentary muscle to the abs.

That said Pull Ups would be the way to go. Weighted if you can do more than 12 unweighted.

JC

i think polish and patsy are one and the same, look how they constantly miss phrase shi*...

I'm glad you have some much confidence in yourself!!

some much confidence?...how much is some much patsy?

And why do you put the * in the word fuck??? Just spell it out for us, holm-sliznice!!!

Jon Crane

Polish, I do not understand your desire to "max out" bodyparts. Is this just for this week or do you want to "max out" which I guess means "train to failure" every week?

It is not so much a desire as it seems common sense. I maxed out on the bench and I figured there had to be an equal excercise for back. A one rep excercise. I should have added that I can not do dead lifts bc of a back injury I had in 97'. But anyway, that's why I posted the question.

I train to failure every day and its the only way "I" grow. When I train to failure, I use moderate weights.

Thanx Jon

Sofageorge,

Good routine man. Sore today. I supplemented the dead lifts with two extra sets of weighted towell pull ups and bar rows. Good shit.

Tri~zilla,

Not the same dude bro. I live and go to school in Long Island. Sorry to dissapoint you. Come to Kaseys in Long Island and you will find me. If its that important to you.

"It doesnt matter how big you think you are guy, its how you are down on the ground that matters. "

Are you threatening me?

just thought it was funny - pal - i was quoting you. I didn't get past all the insults you where recieving for being so pompous. The thread turned out okay once you toned down your ego.

JKD

Honestly, it was fuc*kin hilarious. I left work laughing hard as hell. Now I wish you had a shot at me earlier. Thanx for responding man. I hope something helped you on this thread besides how to insult a Polish kid. I did have the best intentions. I just went about it the wrong way. I'm new, what can I say. We live, we learn! Later.

You might say I was a day late and a dollar short. The road to hell his paved with good intentions. Its all good - I am just really board - I Should have minded my own business or at least read past the first page. Chill out man - its friday.

JKD

I'm cool man. Friday it is. Bored too? I am sitting in my office @ got nothing else better to do. But as far as minding your own business. Yes and no, after all, this is a public board. To each his own. Enjoy your weekend dude.

polish...... come see you? i didn't talk out my ass you did....
and waste my money to come down there and you bitch out?

that would be good, right? how about this...since a lot of brothers on this board who reside in dallas, tx all ready know me....
i'll put this invitation out.....come down to dallas, tx...go to
the 24hr fitness on Mockingbird and Greenville and e-mail me when you plan to be there or put a message up on this board
and we'll all come down and see what happens.....i peform better
when i have an audience anyways......

oh and for the record...i don't have any special training or anything, so i should be an easy victory for you.....i'm waiting
'cuase i don't care if i win or lose i just want 2 hurt you as much as i can.....c'mon it'll be the most fun i've had in a long time.....

tri~zilla

My bad dude. The message wasn't directed to you, even though I posted it to you. It was to that JKB guy who popped up out of nowhere. My mistake.

If I ever get done with Grad school and I have some $, it would be worth it for me to come down and train with you. I am always down to learn and challenge new obstacles. A buddy of mine told me that he read my board and that I posted that to you. He told me you were mad cool.

That's where I'm at man. No malice intended.

I think we should just have one big royal rumble. Fuck you pussies, I'll take you all on!!! I'm the Champ, I am the fucking Champ. Get at me...

Tri-Zilla, you said fucking mockingbird...WOW!!! Your exempt from this rumbole!!!
