That is what I heard earlier. That would be one of the only ways to control a group and keep them from turning on you. He knew once he shot one of the students in the group, the fear that would have over come the rest would give him full control of the situation. I would almost bet he has had some sort of formal militant training.

there were a few heroes at columbine
at least one teacher(the guy who got shot and later died) put the students safety above their own and got the students out of harms way as beast possible

he got shot in the back trying to lock down the classrooms .. no one physically tried to stop klebold or harris..
