Marijuana as a hunger enducer? practical? or wishful thinking?

I smoke before and after the gym. I've gained approx. 30lbs. of Lbm this past year and I contribute it in part to smoking weed.

Im all for smoking pot dont worry. Hell I even smoke it before I workout and have the most intense workouts I can handle with no problems. Its great for sparking up a munchy bindge, chilling with your freinds and also the ability to snuggle up in your bed and fall asleep in 2 seconds flat. Cigs suck I know. They stink, they are addicting, and wtf you dont even get high!

Just smoke it, chill and eat some food bro cause it aint going to kill you just make you a little slow but who cares anyway

so true oats... as a matter of fact i was recovering from a very bad motorcycle accident a few years ago and my orthopaedic surgeon actually recommended it for me. he told me i needed to be around 5000 calories a day to rebuild all my lost tissue and heal up, i told him that was impossible for me,and he said if i smoked weed it will help my appetite and make me eat. he was dead serious.

What a stupid remark. Who the fuck tells someone they shouldn't be building at all just cause they puff on some weed?? What if it works for them? Not everyone is training to compete in the olympia.
 
I think its perfectly fine in moderation. Post-workout and/or at night is perfect to slam down those extra cals when you're bulking up, especially if you're a hardgainer. Obviously you should stay away from the junk foods, despite the incredible urge to go out and get some.
 
Moderation is key. I'm bulking now and I get done what needs to be done BEFORE I stone. I do my shots, and pack my gym gear. Depending on the type of MJ I have, I either roll a blunt or pack a big bowl and take it with me. I get my workout in, don't cut it short or anything, and on my way back home I smoke up. It's extremely relaxing and I personally believe that it helps the muscles rebuild, but thats probably me jsut talking out my ass lol. When i get home I eat something moderately large and if need be smoke a little more just before dinner time. Works excellent for me. Just make sure you get your shit done before hand.

Read my post proparly, I said: "If you have to puff to make your daily calorie-inntake, then you shouldn't be building at all..."
 
I read somewhere that the THC in weed, prevents the body from utilising foods properly, or something like that. Was a while ago, so i cant remember exactly.
