Marijuana lowers blood sugar levels in the body, hence the hunger.

I actually quit smoking it because so much of this stuff in my area is laced with crystal meth in an attempt to get you addicted. Fuck that shit.

i smoke weed all the time before workout and after, i wouldnt do it before leg workouts but otherwise doesnt have any negatives. If you smoke a lot you can control the munchies but if you dont do it very often its harder i think to control the hunger
 
i am high pretty much all day every day. 99% of the progress i have made in the gym i have made blazed. when i was 16 and had never worked out i was 6'3 160. now i weigh 215. look at my avatar and tell me weed stunts muscle growth.
 
I smoke 2-3 times a week for some reason it gives me crazy energy and gets me pumped as hell but I dont smoke before a workout because at the same time it makes me uncordinated as hell.Sometimes Ill just do some pull ups and sit ups and push ups and shit at the house but wont go into the gym for fear of droping a weight on my toe or something.
 
I had a pic of me up on my avatar.i am 5'6" 190 10% bf atm had been training naturally for 5months and just got on.Only cycled to cut in the past but I can guarantee you there would be no difference in my build wether I smoked or not.It effects me in positive ways actually gives me energy.Then again Im not a daily smoker.
