What the fuck? You guys want big brother to save the children from themselves at the expense of the rest of us? Where's the parents at? It's the parent's responsibility to keep their kids off of drugs. Parenthood doesn't "just happen" Especially these days with the morning after pill, ru486, etc. If you can't handle the responsibilities of parenthood why should the government charge the rest of us to do the parents job? I wasn't there during the moment of lust when the kid was created, so why should I be penalized for it by tapping into my wallet??? The problem is that nobody wants to be held accountable for shit anymore. When I was a kid if you did drugs it was cuz your parents were fuck ups. This hasn't changed, but the blame has been wrongfully transferred elsewhere.

Otherwise, I'm all for drug testing-give me the drugs-and I'll test them.

I totally do not agree with you, our parents do everything to guide us to the right path (most of our parents) i did drugs when I was in high school that doesn't mean that my parents were fuk ups!!

You can be a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon, but if you don't have the right communication skills with your kids, or you fail to instill the proper morals in them(as yours obviously failed to do), simply put: you suck as a parent. Maybe you're a model citizen that contributes to society for pennies? But you can still suck as a parent if you can't keep your kids hands out of the cookie jar. Kids should not be held 100% responsible either. Their brain hasn't fully developed to make rational decisions in their younger years-so why is it up to the government to do what most parents are incapable of, or too lazy to do?

I say leave it up to the parents. In 20 years the kids with lame parents will have killed themselves off and the overall IQ's of our entire nation will rise a few points as a result.
