Man, I'm sick of the same ol effing food - give me suggestions

buy a ham steak, cut it into a size that will fit on bread, warm it in a pan with a few slices of swiss on it and plop it on some bread.

buy sliced lean roast beef or turkey breast. scoop out the bready part of some italian bread, lay the meat on it, spoon on some fat free gravy (either turkey or beef), and sprinkle some mozzarella on it, bake till warmed.

ground chicken or turkey tacos

i make quessadilla's (sp?) all the time. buy the quessadillas and whatever stuff you like- i like one with sun dried tomato and blue cheese, but i also make them with turkey breast (already cooked) and cheddar. put em together like a sammich, fry on both sides with a little cooking spray till goldendelicious.

Beef Hash

3 cups cooked beef, coarsely chopped (use leftover pot roast, oven roast, corned beef, etc.)
2 large baking potatoes, peeled and diced
2 medium onions, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 ribs celery, finely chopped
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
1 1/2 cups beef broth*
*If you have a cup or so of leftover gravy, use gravy with water or broth to make 1 1/2 cups.
Combine all ingredients and pack into a well-greased shallow baking pan. Cover with foil and bake at 375° for 45 minutes. Uncover and brown under broiler.

I been having the same problem only trying to figure out new foods to eat.

Since I'm a WOP I'm used to the best fuckin cusine on earth....but sadly I'm going to have to lay off the carbs.

If your Italian going off pasta and breads is like coming off crack.

Tell me about it. My mother just came by the other day and dropped off 2 lasagnas (one is in the oven right now, tee hee) and 2 containers of gravy with meatballs. :worried:

Crock Pot Ratatouille
2 large Onions thinly sliced
1 large Eggplant, sliced
4 small Zucchini, sliced
2 small yellow squash, sliced
2 cloves garlic
6 roma tomatoes, sliced (or a can of no salt added diced tomatoes)
2 lg green peppers, diced
1 tsp basil
1 tsp cracked pepper
1 tsp sea salt
2 tsp parsley
1/4 cup olive oil

Layer half of all the vegetables in the crock pot, add the seasonings. Layer the other half of the vegetables, drizzle with the olive oil and cook on low 9 hours.

Coarsely chop and serve warm or cold. Good high-fiber, low-calorie veggie side dish for a chicken breast lunch.

I like throwing some fish sticks in the oven now and then with some good tartar sauce, or real fish if you have time.
