Lymes cycle log

Chez21

Good Broly
Platinum
I’m starting 500 test-e for 10 weeks. I’ve been on antibiotics for lymes for 5 days.

I know this isn’t a legit cycle and pretty boring but wanted to put it out there in case anyone ever has same problem. Seems Unlikely, considering this seems out of ordinary to me, but I’m planning to use test to help recover and keep my workout stronger. My only symptoms are extremely sore shoulders hips and glutes from like 4am to noon. After that I can move around and actually have some intense workouts. I know there’s not a doctor in existence that would recommend test to recover from lymes but here we go!

I’m 44 178 15%

Last cycle was over in January and my levels from bloods were at 612 last week, so I think I recovered pretty well after full PCT and time off. I’m not looking to add size (maybe 5lbs clean), just hoping the test will help my sore muscles feel better sooner and maintain my strength during intense workouts.

Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi and rarely, Borrelia mayonii. It is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected blacklegged ticks. Typical symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans.

Mobster I read a good article how the muscle soreness comes from my body fighting off the infection. Now that I know I’m not dying, time to beat this shit!

Nutrition

Here is nutrition log. Won’t be very food detailed just overall. About two months ago I planned a 3 month juice cleanse. Dropped 15-20 lbs and felt great. Squeezed in a quick knee surgery so that threw off my training and cardio. Ironically, because I was just boxing and lifting heavy to drop weight. I’m still in the juice cleanse but it’s morphed Into more of unlimited fruits and veggies mid-week with a protein shake and nuts. On weekends I can delve into a steak or clean chicken. But also too much booze! (My biggest self inflicted downfall) obviously no carbs or sugars, the biggest thing I avoid is sodium at all costs. Moving forward next 10 weeks will be identical. It’s not nearly enough calories to feed the 500mg I’ll be pumping but I enjoy the starved/strong look. I’m too old to try and get bigger. Thx all!

Speaking of, it’s been a minute since I did test only and never this high. I was thinking to take one clomid 25mg every 4 days and one arimidex 1mg every 4 days alternating for 10 weeks. I Will adapt if any symptoms. I’m gyno prone…thoughts?

You're thinking of nolvadex not clomid, if you're gyno prone

0.5mgs arimidex eod
20mgs nolvadex ed

eod every other day
ed every day

arimidex is good eod
but if gyno prone tamoxifen (nolvadex) is ed 20mgs

dont use clomid on cycle, it will make you super emotional

Training

My workouts have often been very unorthodox so this is strictly for personal use, I wouldn’t recommend this

When I turned 40 and started test I’ve gotten my body to a place I was happy with naturally. My plan was to maintain best I could without working out 2 hours a day. I wanted to add test to have more energy to get through daily activities not so much size and strength. That morphed into some deca and winny but nothing serious. (1 three month cycle per year)

I began doing full body workouts everyday, With a focus on chest or back. Basically a 2 day plan Chest/back, chest/back, chest/back, rest! (Maybe rest) Very little arm or shoulder work because they got enough ricochet from larger muscle workouts. And I was happy with arm/shoulder size. I walk about 5 miles a day for work, so my legs pay their dues.

That’s my workouts in a nutshell. Right now everyday is full body, minus whatever is killing me! I like doing 15-30 minute cardio, 30-45 minute weights and 10 minutes boxing, not in that order!

i like full body but if you doing ED make sure you dont overdo it, keep reps and sets medium

and take more time off days off to rest

Thanks all! I guess the term “full body” is little misleading, I don’t crush every muscle everyday. I just pick 3-4 exercise circuit, usually in a double pyramid format (6 sets). I do focus on either chest or back everyday. If they are both sore, then I will do cardio or legs. Unfortunately right now everything hurts from the lymes so I’m just going lighter where I can to avoid using the shoulders. It’s been like 2 weeks in antibiotics and still no relief. I refuse to stop working out though, hence the test-e to help with motivation physically and mentally.

keep training just dont overtrain
make sure you got recovery and you feel alright

1 week in and def feeling the test kick in! Increased Libido and gym motivation noticed. This is the most test I’ve ever done weekly, excited for when it kicks in fully!

Side note: my dog was also diagnosed with lymes. Vet gave her the same antibiotics that I’m on and some prednisone. (Not sure why I didn’t get any) but I took a couple to dull the aches that have kept me down every morning. It worked wonders! Pretty amazing stuff, curious why they don’t use that versus pain killers? I can’t imagine the side effects are way worse? Anyway, I only took a couple, now I’ll stop and see how bad the pain comes back. Usually they prescribe prednisone for lymes.

prednisone has catastrophic side effects my man. that is why it isn't prescribed so much

basically the way it works is it tells your brain there is nothing wrong. when there is something wrong

this has consequences

also prednisone can lead to major long term problems. i've seen people gain 100 pounds on it and not good weight obviously

so be careful with that shit. i NEVER recommend using it unless it is absolutely a last resort ! my vet gave my dog it when she was on her last weeks and could barely walk. looking back i wish i had put her down peacefully and not made her suffer that way.

I like how your log is going, good progress

prednisone has other sides like organ damage with long term use and doesnt work in many cases, so they are not giving to all

Side effects of oral corticosteroids
Fluid retention, causing swelling in your lower legs.
High blood pressure.
Problems with mood swings, memory, behavior, and other psychological effects, such as confusion or delirium.
Upset stomach.
Weight gain, with fat deposits in your abdomen, your face and the back of your neck.

Thanks all! I had no idea how bad the prednisone could be. I do know not to take it more then a couple times. It really helps with the pains and stiffness. Im just continuing with the test now and feeling really good! Im almost done antibiotics treatment. If pain persists after that I have to get checked for
Polymyalgia rheumatica

Antibiotics finished and pain is subsiding so hopefully that worked? But I think the test is starting to work it’s magic. Strength and gym motivation through the roof, test is a beautiful thing! Thanks for all the support bros

to start now that you're done with antibiotics
you need to rebuild your gut bacteria

daily take 3-4 doses of probiotics
1-2 doses of digestive enzymes
2 tbsp of psyllium husk (prebiotics)
and eat more fermented foods like kimchi

rebuilding gut biome will be huge right now

and your test cycle is going to be good
keep the log going with your testosterone cycle we want to see how it goes please

3 weeks down. Lymes still kicking my ass, can’t touch a weight until afternoon and used to be a 5am guy. It’s actually a bit of a blessing. Normally during cycle I would workout twice a day. The pain limits my frequency and longevity in the gym so it’s kind of forcing me into not overtraining. I’m still doing one short but intense full body routine daily. I usually like to be in a calorie deficit on cycle so the one short gym session per day limits hunger, which is helping keep my body fat low. I’m still taking 500test, 1mg Arimidex and 20mg Nolva per week, so far that’s limited and gyno symptoms.

All in all, things going good I feel great in the gym and libido like a teen. Just wish this pain would subside. Going in to get tested for PMR (Polymyalgia rheumatica) soon. I had hoped the lymes pain would be gone after antibiotics. So I’m thinking it might be something else, old man problems I guess? Ftr: I wouldn’t recommend anyone take 500mg test, train hard, and intermittent fasting during a lymes diagnosis. I think rest is also a viable option, I just won’t let this little bug stop me!

you're looking great in the pic, good results

in time pain will go away and you need to work on gut health, probiotics fiber and digestive enzymes daily

Thought I would add 5 week mid cycle update. Had some bread for first time in 6 months yesterday so didn’t feel much like a picture, but I’ll be able to look back on it at 10weeks. Decent progress considering circumstances. Gained 8 lbs since starting. I would def have more size/strength but I have to limit myself lifting. Shoulder pain still kicking my ass. Now my workouts are very minimal. I only spend about 10 minutes on weights and that’s if my body lets me. Mostly cardio and core right now. I’m Starting morning fasted cardio and afternoon weights this coming Monday. I’ve been hungry from test and eating way more but still fairly clean diet. After this weekend I’ll be able to detox again, fruits and veggies and nuts mid week, clean protein on weekends. Plan to finish the last 5 weeks off strong! If my body is recovered totally from lymes and I can maintain the size I have now, I’ll consider it a successful cycle.

I use a joint product daily and a pain killer only when training that joint

Log update:

Been a strange couple weeks. After my last update I took 4 days off gym. My plan was to test if I was more sore or less sore after break. This entire time dealing with lymes shoulder/hip soreness, there was a slight chance that it was due to overtraining. After 2 days off I was WAY more sore, and that caused me to take extra 2 days off. It was very hard to walk or do anything with my arms. Leading me to believe it’s definitely the lymes/PMR causing my pain and not muscle soreness from overtraining. I’m not scheduled with specialist until November, but the treatment for PMR is simply prednisone. (Could be anywhere from 3 months to 3 years) I was able to get my hands on some prednisone to self medicate until I see my specialist. I know there’s many concerns with prednisone but I’m being very careful and on half of the lowest dose. (10mg EOD) since then, I have zero pain and have had tremendous workouts. Even able to lightly train shoulders and legs today. This is the first time in months and first time since adding test, I’m able to train pain free so it’s very exciting. Started fasted am cardio and pm weights today.

I have a couple physically demanding jobs to provide for my family so right now being pain free is very important to me, but I will continue to regulate prednisone at below the lowest dose until I see the specialist. Hopefully they can see me sooner…
