The BB will force you to actually lean a bit forward due to the placement on your shoulders... it happens naturally. The db placement allow you to "sink" into your lunge in a more vertical way... ie: keeping your back straight.
Welp, if you want more emphisis on your butt all you need to do is lean your torso forward, it forces your glutes to fire, the further your chest is toward your knee the more you will get, you can reach your arms out in front of you for stability and a focal point for consistancy, aim them toward a wall. Best for this is using the reverse lunge because you can control your knee placement from the get go, a more consistant stride length.. with NO weight, go for control and quality of contraction. There is a huge difference. I wish I had a pic of how its done...
