Lower abs "BUMP"

EL GAUCHO

New member
Hey all.....
Since I can remember I have had a slightly potruding lower ab area....even when my body fat is real low (8% after cutting).
The rest of me is all good....but my lower abs are solid but slightly come out totally ruining the easthetics of my abs.
According to a Pilates teacher I know, its caused by the heavy lifting i'm constantly doing.
I've tried everything...lower ab exercises, upper abs...stability ball...you name it.
Could it be the exercises themselves causing this "bump"?

Its just the area where your body happens to store fat, the little fat that you have. It sucks, but I guess you just have to deal with it.

GAH

I have the same thing - seriously though if I stay regular with pilates (I just do it home) it's significantly flatter and my posture is just fabulous comparitively.

Try it - it can't hurt.
I use Winsor tapes - they're old now but it works.

Try losing the rest of your bodyfat. Males store is more easily on their lower abs and back, so maybe you're just suffering from some leftover chub.

Err...dont think surgery is needed quite yet!!
Looks like it is just the stubborn part of fat...its so weird cos I can have veins all over my chest and shoulders...but there will still be a bit of fat in my lower abs!
I'll persevere....and maybe even give some of those Pilates moves a try!
