hey guys i have been suffering from xtreme tiredness, depression and anxiety for the last year, i have been on alot of different antidepressants with no results i finally decided to have a testosterone test to see if it can be low. its been 1.5 years since my last cycle . i am 36 years old and my test levels are way lowtotal test = 165,free test =49,shbg = 9, and my prolactin levels were low also 1.9. my question to you guys is could this be causing my symtoms and if so do i need to go on test replacement thearpy. either way i have an appointment to see a urologist. any feedback would be appreciated thanks j

ummm, you think? of course that should be determined by a doc... but if i was a gambling man, i would put my money on it.

Nobody here can diagnose you based on what you wrote. And only a fool would take medical advice off of a message board.

SEE A DOCTOR and he will tell you what it up. Without a proper physical examination and blood work there is not telling what is wrong with you. It could be low test levels, it could be clinical depression, it could be cancer - it could be anything.

I would find the main cause of this before going any further. I mean some meds lowers test levels, but if you think that you never recovered from your cycle 1 1/2 years ago that's bad......

And yes, low test levels can have some bad effects on you, including depression

Were you fine before you did the cycle?

have you had your pituitary gland checked?

Personally I would see an endocrinologist rather than a urologist but your testosterone is definitely very low.

hey guys thanks for all the feedback. i went today to see my urologist ,we talked a bit and he put me on testim creame which i hope works i dont have insurance and found out it was 285.00 for i box which lasts one week wtf anyways he was cool about it and gave me 4 sample boxes for free i was happier i hope this works anybody else have been on testin?

you are creating more issues for yourself down the road.....you should have asked your doc for clomid and H C G instead of the test replacement creme you got.

Did he even test your levels? If so, what were they?

yea i found with doctors you need to talk to them and kinda know your own solution first so that you can run it by them...had you gone in there with the thought of getting some clomid or some HCG and mentioned that to him you might have walked home with it too, i dont know what the creme will really do for you espcially with four sample boxes, i think it is very likely that you have had these symptoms of depression and all because of the low test levels... i know i did, and there are lots of things you can do but you need to head back to the doctor and firgure ot what your gonna do after the four sample boxes are gone cause thats not gonna fix the problem

Your primary goal is to aggresively try to jump start your nuts.....even if the pituitary gland is working if the testies are small and inactive it will do nothing for you in terms of recovery.
Don;t even bother with the creme, ask for H c G and clomid. I would say H c G should be #1 on your list.

i may only hold a juris doctor--but what was the cause?? he treated the symptom but what about the cause?

i know the pain your going through bro, the other thing i read into was depression can be cause by low test levels, but also i dont know this for sure, but maybe something you might want to talk to your doc about. Depression also comes from low serotonin levels and i think when test levels drop and symptoms of depression arise your serotonin levels must be low too and i found mine were. So not only did i find myself pumping some test boosters and estro blockers but some good mood boosters as well this helped a bunch trust me!, Few examples are: 5HTP (be careful when taking this, it eventually goes through a series of conversions and finds its way to melatonin the hormone your body produces to sleep, so dont take 5 HTP at too high of a dose and if you feel tired on it only take it at night or as your winding down, also samE good stuff gives me a quick mood boost with a bit of a jolt of energy from the good mood, St. Johns wort works well, and you can even get some pure Gabba for bedtime to help with regulations of your hormones, the best advice i can give you though, is dont lose the mind game to yourself, stay strong and patient and you can work the problem out we are all here to help and visa versa

lastly I just thought of this and this one is gonna be hard for a lot of people but increasing your cardio will increase your endorphins and those are good haha try not to burn muscle though!! we dont want that!

this is a long post but whatever:
as far as I felt, well dpressed, my mind wouldnt stop during the day and then at night too, i found myself smoking a lot of weed to get away from reality and that caused a more severe case of depression, i also had no control over my emotions just a wrecking ball of crap man, this is why we cycle! we got to keep our bodys running properly and even though i ran my cycle correctly with a good post cycle ready and wasnt careless these things happen that is why i said keep your cool and we'll help you figure it out (you scratch my back i scratch yours)

Hey man don't feel bad, I'm 31 and I went through all the same symtoms and antidepressants etc that you did and nothing helped me more then testosterone therapy. My level was like at 7, yes 7. Heres the thing if you don't get your levels back up it causes a whole lot of other bodily organs to not function properly. I could write an essay on it but I think you got the point. You can go with Androgel 1% or ask for Testosterone cypionate which is what I am going to switch to here soon. Everything changes after your test levels get back up to 250. Your sex drive goes back to normal, you have energy and you feel happy and not grouchy and tired. I hope this helps a bit.
