Low T, hypogonadism: What's it like?

Anybody who's on HRT who was diagnosed with hypogonadism, what did you feel like before you went on it? What sort of symptoms?

I don't mean the clinical checklist of symptoms like fatigue, erectile dysfunction, etc, I mean personalize it. How did you feel? How did it affect your life?

I was constantly tired and dragging butt. Low sex drive, much quicker to anger and more emotional than I am known to be. More aches and joint pains. Decrease in strength and endurance. Falling asleep after dinner time. Work performance lacking...

These are just some of the things.

In addition to the SOS mentioned above, I noticed much more interest in life and work after HRT. This stuff is great. You should be aware that as test levels are increasing you feel like King Kong.

Agree w/all the above. I was tired, depressed, and had a feeling of impending doom. I also had trouble gaining muscle and losing fat once I hit my 30's.

Been on cyp for about 5 months and just started HGH.

It feels like being an old woman!
I agree with what everyone but I would like to ad one more.
As my T levels crashed estrogen took over , I became an emotional gurlie man.

Strong is right on! I went to several doctors until I found an ENDO that wants me to use 100mg every 5 days to slow down the roller coaster ride.

I was diagnosed hypopituitary in 86 and the reral symtoms came about in 90 .That was when I felt a real lack of interest in sex, migraine headaches, constantly changing my body temperature hot and cold withing minutes. Hypopituitary is the same as hypogonadism I would think.

I don't even feel like a person, much less a man. I have no sex drive, libido, or motivation. I can't grow muscle, or even get my facial hair to continue its pattern (it just gave up a quarter up my neck.)

Alot of people say TRT makes you feel like you're in your 20s again. I'm goddamned 23, and I've been this way since 14. Never used steroids either, or anything like it. (Before HRT at 21.)

Here's the real shitty thing. You have people here who say high T will make you feel like "King Kong" and all that. Bullshit for me, man. I've had bioavailable T levels four times over the normal range, and I feel the exact same. 1200ng/dl is the same as 185ng/dl for me. How is that for a severe case of horomone deficiency?

Well

personally I think me being a borderline alcoholic was what triggered the hypogonadism. My total test levels at the ripe old age of 33 were 221... at 8AM in the morning (when test levels peak)!

My symptoms... emotionally crazy, lack of sex drive and when I could get it up was difficult to acheive ejaculation (drove my wife crazy), lack of confidence, lost muscle mass (went from benching over 300lbs to barely able to get 230lbs up and I was actively working out).

I just started the test in Sep of '03 and I can tell a huge difference. Sex drive is rocking and the muscles are coming back.

If you need HRT then do it!! It will change your life!
