Still the best system is capitalism with some regulation, but not an overabundance of regulation. Seems we are constantly trying to find that balance for laissez faire capitalism with regulation

Im not saying there werent other reasons. But the underlining reasons were the rules made that allowed a country that Catered to the bankers and had negligible revenue because of said catering.

that might be a slight exaggeration. Greece's problems in the end are just plain ole abject corruption. Yes, Greeks are lazy and more worried about where the next piece of coos is comin at em from. But the problems we're seeing is the result of upper management not just fucking up, but hiding said fuckup from the boss (The EU) 10 years ago this could have been solved with some people exiting stage left.....but they wanted that nice comfy job and so hired some private sector folks to help em keep it. And in turn let some private sector folks get away with a whole lot. It's just corruption.....has nothing to do with either capitalism or socialism.

It is a farce. They had Government jobs made and picked people that would do what they were told no matter what.
Then those people would get paid in return.
Similar to the direction our Congress is going with the Citizens United ruling.

Is our govt corrupt as hell? The corruption of the U.S govt goes back close to a 100 years. And during that time it was billed as the "one true capitalist" system. So yeah, i don't think corruption cares if you're socialist or capitalist.
