Lose body fat only ?

15 minute cardio session will not cut it in terms of oxidizing bodyfat. Increase that to 60-90 minutes @ 65% VO2MAX...

Secondly to conserve muscle while doing the above I would use some protein and/or amino acid drink mixed with a small amount of glucose/dextrose beforehand. Insulin will pretty much stop fat oxidation, but the first 15 minutes of cardio will probably not oxidize much if any fatty acids anyway..

Also don't do this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach....

I do the 15 minutes at the end of my workout. I do high intensity weight training. Heavy weights , medium reps, 2 minute rest between sets. The reason for the 15 min cardio is to make my w/o last one hour. One solid hour of high intensity working 5-6 times per week out has to be buring fat.

no offense but u r not listening to anyone. it almost appears as all u want is for someone to agree with u. an old saying goes if u ask enough times u will find someone to agree with u.

I agree
And I'm horrible about telling people what they want to hear, if they want to hear something thats false

Fat is like diesel fuel... It takes time to burn

I would tell him just to drop his calories to 1500 , but since he wants to keep if not gain muscle , that's not an option

I am listening to you guys. I guess I will have to live with a little belly fat because I am not sacraficing hard earned muscle. Like I said before, all I want is for my stomach to look respectable. I know I will never have a 6 pack. I am not a fatass by any means. I am going to do my thing for 12 weeks, and if I don't see a change, I will bump this thread and listen better. But for now it's going to be lifting my ass off for 45 mins, followed by 15 min cardio 5-6 times per week, and a good diet. Sorry, I am not tyring to be a jackhole.

What about that lipo- stuff and the other thing I can't think of the name that I keep reading about ? Are they fat burner, muscle builders, or just energy boosters ? I am very curious about them. Anybody try them ?

Bro, you need to listen to what these folks with experience are telling you. Why ask a question if you're not going to listen to the advice given. Your 15 minutes of cardio is pretty much just a waste of time. Your body will not oxidize any fat in that amount of time.

You have two choices: #1: Keep doing what you're doing and also keep your fat. #2: Listen to what these guys are telling you and get what you want.

If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting the exact same results.

I just started this w/o a week and half ago. I have been lifting for 9 months ( after a few month layoff ) , taking extra time between sets with no cardio. So I was basically not burning any fat at all, plus I wasn't eating very clean. I was just packing on mass the past 9 months. This new 60 min high intensity w/o with a better diet is alot different than what I was doing. I am feeing better already. My energy level is raising. So this isn't a " keep what your doing" thing. Time will tell if I start losing any belly fat. I do appreciate the advise from everyone. This way if it doesn't work, I will have something to refer to.

Every guy gets this complex . I dont wanna loose any muscle , I want to keep it all and still loose my fat.

Sorry bud just not gonna happen.
Pick one or the other

build muscle = eat alot and gain muscle and some fat

or loose fat = restrict calories loose fat and keep protien high to prevent as little muscle loss as you can.

You will loose some muscle but over all you will prob look better, you might be confusing loosing fat and thinking it was muscle.

I have seen lots of guys loose weight and think it was muscle but most the time it was fat. They just loose the fat and feel smaller

I have a feeling after reading everyone's posts, that you are right. Thanks for the advise.

ps- It's lose, not loose

I agree that losing fat without some muscle loss is highly improbably naturally. With anti-catabolic drugs I do belive it can be done easily.

Naturally you need to plan accordingly in terms of calories and macros as well as when you do the cardio. Protein and amino acid Supplements are necessary. Even with these it's highly improbable naturally, but muscle loss can be minimized
