lolol @ this commercial

YouTube - Seroquel XR Commercial

How many times do you think they mention anything about death lol holy shit:confused:

Funny how the guberment just wants you to take a pill. Instead of talking with someone, surrounding yourself with positive people, etc

in your opinion what does the gov have to do with a public/private company producing medication?
and do you know anybody with sever bipolar? lol at talking with them as a cure, kinda trivalizes their sever illness.
peeps just don't snap out of depression

bino, its obviously all a conspiracy to keep the good apricot seed producers down and out of the market place. lol @ u being ignorant and believing in medical journals that contain proof of the usefulness of certain medications.

i didn't watch the entire thing but i get what you are saying.
that would suck to be faced with that choice.
and i would hope that bros try alternatives such as you mentioned, and use such meds as a last resort.

1. Glad, you're not always the brightest bulb in the box.

2. I happen to think the idea of advertising prescription medications to the general public IS fucking stupid, and consider for a moment the implications that America is the only country that still allows it.

3. Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic used primarily to treat schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. The people who are taking this drug can't "talk their problems out" or "suck it up and get over it." Every antipsychotic (actually, pretty much every drug that has neurologic effects) has some potentially heavy duty side effects.

My girl is bipolar. She never wants to take her meds. From what I've been told that is not uncommon. It gets really hard to see her depressed, thou.

I have no idea what this means:confused: I agree with Glad taking pills is stoopid as fuck, unless it's hydros or steroids, in which case I am totally for it.:)

What's not to understand?

1. Glad is dumb, I think that's been pretty well established by the boy himself. No crime in his being stupid, just the fact that he's mocking the side effects when he probably doesn't even know what the medication is prescribed for.

2. I don't think medication that requires a physician's prescription should be advertised to the general public. It causes WAY more problems than it helps.

3. Medications that affect your brain often have some very scary side effects. However, the conditions the medications are treating are frequently life threatening, too.

without it being perscribed nor needed?
what it do anything?

I totally agree with you on points 2 and 3. But I think Glad is a genius in the making, much like his e-daddy SB.:)

def not a genius, but def not dumb either.
glad shoulda stayed in the corp, he could have flourished there

Oh, I have no doubt it would do something. The potential side effects are frightening and it has a lot of contraindications as well as meds that it interacts with. There's lots of meds out there that taking them if you don't need them you can have a lot of fun with, but this shit, no way. People who NEED this drug generally don't like it, but the alternative is no life at all.

To hazard a guess, it's used to treat people whose minds don't work right, who are having racing or uncontrollable thoughts, but not people who are demented, so I suspect it stills the mind. There's a LOT of warnings about drowsiness effects so it does that too. And then it can screw with the way you think, trigger obsessive or even suicidal thoughts.

When faced with the following:

A. Do not take medication and possibly ruin your life, kill yourself and/or others
B. Take medication that will make you feel better, have control over your life and maybe have serious negative side effets

Which would you chose? I'd go with B hence why this medication exists...

Believe it or not my doc gave me this as a sleep aid.
Talk about using a cannon to kill a fly ... that's a totally off label use, BTW.

I sincerely hope he warned you about the potential sides, if not, you should do a little research just to be on the look out.

Like I said, a lot of people who take the drug really don't care for it, they find the sides quite unpleasant.

I've heard it to be given out as a sleep aid a couple of times.

I've had a few friends who had to take it and they complained it was the worst shit they've ever had to take.

Docs hand out pills to easily nowadays and if people are screwed up, it's usually the easy way for them to make decisions.
Thing is, nobody knows how someone will react with the medication. In my opinion, i've seen it hurt friends of mine and make them worse more than its helped them.

Medication is sometimes needed, but the truth is, doctors don't know whether it will help or hurt 90% of the time. They're just guessing....

Besides, who are other people to pass judgement on us. We're all hardwired a little different.

I only took it a couple of times. I didn't have any sides but I only used 25mg (and 50mg once). (I've read some people take 800mg!) Once I read up on it I canned it. A person here gave me some good advice too. It was over $100 for 30 pills too, and that was with insurance!

I need to get a sleep study done. I know what my problem is though lol

He gave me this because I had a severe (very severe) adverse reaction to Rozrem. I literally went bonkers and didn't sleep for 3 days. I read up on it and 1/100,000 people have severe hallucinations and extended insomnia (and Rozrem is a sleep drug!) I won the lottery on that one. lol

I stick with ambien now (haven't used it in a while) but that is just a band-aid that doesn't do much.

WTF is wrong with him? what kind of Dr is he?

This is the "messing with nerurotransmitters" bullshit I was talking about the other day... how the fuck can Dr.s take something so delicate as the brain so lightly is beyond me.....
