Lets talk Protein shakes & BB'ing

If I was going to add some caesin protein (pure shake not mixed with whey) in with my whey mixtures what would be the best time to do so?

I take at least 4 shakes a day on workout days so i was thinking doing whey shakes all the time except pre and post workout but then I thought that caesin digests slower so that would be a waste because it wouldn't get into my system fast enough.

what do you guys and gals do?
 
Exactly... casein is best at night... or in between meals... it's digested far more slowly than whey...

Whey is especially important first thing in the morning and post-workout...when you need fast-digesting protein the most.... if you eat right before a workout, then whey is the best choice.
 
when i make a shake it looks somthing like this:

1cup whole milk
2tbsp. ANPB
1/2 cup oats
1/2 bananna
one serving chocolate flavor protein powder (using BSN syntha 6 now)
a few scoops fat free plain yogurt
a 'glug' of flaxseed oil
3-4 raw egg whites
ice

a good one to sleep on...
