I know this has nothing to do about AAS, but damn! I can't believe he put a tat on his fucking face!!! Here is the pic

Not that he had a chance before, but now he solidified his chances of never winning the Mr. O if that tat on the face is real. Not what Joe wants to represent the sport.
 
awesome - I don't know what else to say, he's never really been one of my favorites.

Back in the day - I thought Tat's were frowned upon, I guess everything goes now.

I keep waiting for one of these guys to EXPLODE on stage some night.

Don't like him, but props for his dedication and freaky physique
 
For someone who makes their living off their body, he isn't being very smart. What kind of contracts does he have? Twinlab? It's hard enough to market these guys, but all those tats and now his face just make it worse.

But I give Lee credit. He is who he is.
 
Not that anyone suggested anything to this; but Tyson would kick Lee Priest's ass. Dont know why Im thinking this...maybe cuz their the only guys I know with tats on their face??

Tho O., Shit, he will never win another competition. Not like he's won a whole lot here lately anyway. So might as well fuck up the rest of his career.
 
Hopefully that tattoo makes up for his 3" schlong. Bad move if you asked me.
Still a very funny guy, and he appears to be pretty honest.
 
Pretty Common in New Zealand...in fact he has a very South Pacific Island (Polynesian) design there...remember, he's from Oz and grew up with alot of pacific islanders...it's not a foriegn concept to him to do that.
 
its just funny that people are criticising a guy for his own personal choice.its his body his life.

and he has done more in bodybuilding and financially then most of the people saying hes stupid will ever do.lol

He does seem honest, but can we really believe only 2cc's of Primo and 2cc's of Deca. No test, dbol or anadrol?

funny i always believed pumping your body with outrageous amounts of illegal steroids, HGH, insulin etc was the right thing to do.

in ten or 15 years there will be an awful lot of people in their 50s with tatts. bet there will be big money to be made from tatt removal. maybe by then they will have made procedure easier and more successful.

When you have a physique at Lee Priest's calibre, you can do whatever the fuck you want quite frankly and look badass. Priest doesn't give a shit what anybody thinks, which is why he has been one of my favourites. He does what he does.

Lee Priest and everyone else knows he will NEVER win the Mr. O. due to politics. Priest doesn't give a shit if the tats have a negative impact. In fact, the face tats probably benefit his career because people want to see a freak and get more of one now.

Before the tats Lee was a freak and EVERYONE was staring at him. Now with the fact tats Lee is still a freak and EVERYONE is still staring at him. No change.

He lives for the moment and does whatever the heck he wants. He goes balls to the walls and probably won't live to see 50+. Gotta respect how he lives for today. I doubt when (if) he is 50 he will give a crap about his face tat. He'll probably just get another one and be even more jacked.

No offense but this comment is pretty foolish.

Lee NEVER had a chance of ever winning the Mr. O. It's all politics. Lee Priest knows that and doesn't compete to win the Mr. O. So the face tats are a moot point.

Secondly, Joe Weider wants FREAKS to represent the "sport". Bodybuilding is a joke as it is. How would Priest not be a good rep for bb? Do you think anyone takes bodybuilding seriously, with all the cartoon characters (and preggo bellies) and drug abuse as is? It's funny because you're saying Priest is a bad representative for bb (Joe Weider) because of his face tats, yet Ronnie Coleman and his 12 month pregnant belly is a better one??

I disagree. The face tats only add to the Lee Priest marketability. It's controversial. It gets talked about. It gets noticed.

Just look at this thread. We're all discussing LEE PRIEST, not some other Joe Smhoe. Is anyone talking about Victor Martinez, or Darrem Charles, or Dexter, etc etc? Nope.

I would venture to say that being a pro bodybuilder is, in and of itself, not the right choice.

As Glennds alluded to, it's the wrong choice to get a face tat, yet it's the right choice to pump your body full of unnecessary drugs to blow up into a cartoon character figure????

I respect his right to mutilate his face and destroy his body. What I don't respect is the number of young fans that may want to emulate this nonsense of excess. There is a line to be drawn for responsible behavior and those who respect this line need to be rewarded just as much as that of "freaks" who continually cross it.
 
Hell, i think it looks sort of cool on tyson, as tyson looks and portrays a mean ass attitude, lee looks like a surfer boy to me, not real tough appearance...not saying he may not be, but i don't think it fits him personally

Do you realize that bodybuilding altogether is "in excess", even at the amateur level.

If you're going to talk about responsible behaviour, then being on a bodybuilding board in which we use steroids to enhance our own vanity leaves much to be said.

Lee with his little face tattoo is just as in excess as Coleman (or Levrone or Dexter etc etc etc) with his protruding belly. Is it okay that kids look up and want to emulate Dexter Jackson, or even Arnold (he did use drugs you know). Is a face tattoo any more or less responsible then taking dbols like Arnold was known to do?

You make a very good point. We can rationalize and intellectualize all we want, but ultimately it is the self-vanity we are succumbing to. All I am trying to do is play my part and try to keep the danger component down to a minimum. But ultimately, you are correct - I guess we will have to accept the hypocrisy as part of the job.

That's a hard and subjective call at best. As a pro bodybuilder he has his reasons.

The tattoo on the face is something that I can't see winning him any favors with judges.

well priest is a cartoon character. this is an addition to his image. priest always said he wanted to be a str8 up freak so this simply adds to the awe (and disgust) of his image. priest will never win the O, so i dont think hes concerned with that too much. honestly if i was commited to be a str8 up freak i would do some shit like that too. so i dont know what everyone is bitching about. what? priest wont be taken seriously. lol o ye coz he is taken seriously as it is. bottom line is nothing will change, when he walked in public people started and were shocked and now it's gonna do the same thing. do u think the first thing they;re gonna notice is his tat. noooo, theyre gonna see his body. its way more noticeable. so all in all, if you dont like tattoos, dont like priest or just want to be the self righteous person then go ahead and say how hes an idiot and he ruined his rep or physique or face or whatever you guys will come up with, but the bottom line is, he'll be a freak and social outcast no matter what. and quite frankly i dont think he really gives a shit what everyone thinks.

Yup, I knew that would be brought up. I completely agree, he's bullshit'n. But on his videos, and everything i've seen on him, he seems like a pretty down to earth guy.

Here's the thing. He was a fucking freak at 17. He earned a pro card at 17, but Jim Manion thought he was too young, and wanted to see Lee in person. Even pics of him at like 15 are rediculous. Who knows. Some guys just have the genetics to look like that off of 2 grams. Just cause you give one of us a high dose cycle, doesn't mean were gonna look like any of the top pros today.

This is one thread on a net board. In real life Victor, Darrem and Dexter all have multiple contracts with big supplement companies. Lee has a contract with twinlab and had to get bodybuilding.com pay his race entry fee at a drag race he did. He also had to sell his Hummer and other cars and now drives a mustang. When 90% of your money comes from contracts and very little or next to nothing from contests, then having a look that sells is very important. Getting a tattoo on your face in this instance is a bad idea. A lot of times these guys are asked to put Dermablend over any tatt's when going to certain expo's/guest posing engagements/seminars...I don't think he will be able to hide that.

Like I said though, Lee is Lee. He is always up front, honest and true to himself. He doesn't care that he isn't loaded and lost a lot. Most thought he was foolish for leaving his wife and getting engaged to Adela so quick. But he goes with what he feels and who he is. For that I have tons of respect for the guy.

As for Joe Weider... Joe is DYING. He no longer controls the IFBB. They even cut his 'farewell' speach short at the O. David Pecker of AMI is in control now. And if you guys think Weider is bad, watch out. Things are only going to get WORSE. Joe will look like a saint when all is said and done. AMI basically wants to milk bbing for all it has left and then leave it for dead. Remember how everyone bitched about Wayne Demilla? Now they are all saying how great the O was when he was in charge and how shitty it is now. It's just getting started....
 
Doesnt the tear drop under the eye represent being a convict and doing life? I know the spider web on the elbow represents each year youve been down.
