He keeps fucking up his life...damn shame..one of the best linebackers to ever to play the game.

NEW CITY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Former NFL star Lawrence Taylor pleaded guilty Thursday to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute, misdemeanor charges that carry no jail time but require him to register as a sex offender.

The 51-year-old ex-linebacker, who led the New York Giants to Super Bowl titles in 1987 and 1991, will serve six years probation.

“She told me she was 19,” Taylor, standing with his hands clasped behind him, said in court as he admitted having sex with a prostitute who turned out to be a 16-year-old Bronx runaway. Taylor said he now knows the girl was legally incapable of consent.

I wish I could say Bill Parcells could sit him down and give a good old fashioned dressing down like Im sure he did back in the day, but I dont think that would help him at this point. Such a shame since he was a badass in the gridiron when i was growing up.

I loved to watch him play the position, a natural talent.

I read an article that talked about how the conditioning coach told him that he had to be at the gym an at least hour three times a week, he showed up with milk, donuts and the paper...read for an hour and left. :)

and jacked up on coke to boot. i dont doubt he was one seriously naturally gifted mofo and who knows how good he could have been had he not had all the vices he did.

Crack killed his career....

There will always be great talent in the linebacker position...Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher come to mind, two players I love to watch play the game, but LT really inspired me as a high school athlete.

I'm speechless! You are sadden a third degree rapist and “was of assistance in the field of human trafficking in several jurisdictions.” keeps fucking up his life? Perhaps even (dare I say it) fuck up his fucking career?

really?

You know at one time LT was a badass but the more we find out on him the more I feel he was a sorry piece of shit!!!! I mean really...football greatness will only get you soo far

I have no sympathy for anyone that knowingly has sex with an underage girl, as a matter of fact, I consider them the lowest of the low.

Even assuming he wasn't lying about her claiming she was nineteen, the law still required him to verify her age and a sixteen year old girl cannot consent to sex....yes it's rape. I wasn't minimizing it but just commenting on him.

same thing....underage is underage...if society has determined someone can't be trusted to vote for the local dog catcher...

This truck driver picked up this beautiful long blond haired, blue eyed teenager who was hitchhiking.

They proceeded down the road and every once in the while the trucker would glance at the youngster. Eventually the youngster inquired, "mister, you don't know if I'm a boy or a girl do you?"

To which the trucker replied, "Doesn't matter ... I'm going to fuck you either way."

Good to see you've accepted the merits of Taylor Swift as the greatest female artist of all times...

I've heard the non-creepy dating rule is 1/2 your age plus nine as the youngest you can date and not be creepy.

Besides, she "dated" John Mayer...nobody dates John Mayer...he just bangs chicks...lolll.

If you threw the wood at her, before long she'd be trying to trick you up using wimmenzs logic.

Best to stay clear of teh wimmenzs altogether.

just sayin'

Non -sense. That formula would put me at 33 age limit. I could pull off way younger than 33. Not that I would want to.

That's the point...why would you want to have a serious relationship with an eighteen year old? Unless you're a creepy dude....

My cut off would be 28 but I could knock off an eighteen year old but why would I want to date a child? Even when I was in my early 20's I didn't date chicks under 21...we couldn't even hang out in the same places let alone factoring in the annoying girl bullshit.

I had a fake id at 18 lol

but I was annoying so.....

No but there is some pretty smart say 25 - 30 yr olds that I could hang with. If they are way younger but a lot smarter than me, it could work.

They would just have to be patient with my limpy dick.

there is a stab here at mitch but I am not even going there. Oh wait, I just did.

Sorry bud!!

she said she was 19 bro, what's he sposed to do?

Lol

"Excuse me, Miss Hooker, I would like to pay you to polish my knob. But I don't want to get into trouble for something really serious like, say, rape. So can I please see you're ID so I can confirm that you are of legal age for this illegal activity that I am about to preform with you in the alley over there?"

You clearly haven't taken one of the 18 year old ones out for a spin lately.

I've got plenty of respect for 25+ year olds and relationships that are more mature, but there's a lot of upside with the 18-21 year old crowd too.

But they have power everything! And firm but soft seats. And their handling is so tight! Plus everything is still under warranty -- and extended warranty plans get so expensive.

But the best part is when you leave the windows rolled-up on a hot summer day. You can still smell that "new girlfriend" scent!

Lol sure..but you can't run a new car over 55mph... if you know every turn, every break, everything about how it's going to handle how to make that engine "purr"...Can't do that with a newbie. Make that engine scream.....just saying....you'll break a new one

Damn! That's a really good analogy comeback.

You should coach a lot of the male posters here.

I'd have to sleep on it just to think of a decent response. I concede.

There is a difference between intelligence and wisdom. I'm sure there are some intelligent and relatively wise late twenty somethings but our culture seems to retard maturity in young people. The maturity comes from being independent and living life, as well as trying to learn from life. Last semester I was in chemistry lab with plenty of smart young girls, weed out class for medical and engineering students, but their maturity level...how do think I know so much about Taylor Swift? Compared to my weekend Physics lab last year, 90% of the women already had a bachelors degree and were going back to school for better career options, the difference was night and day for the twenty-four plus women.

What were you doing in a weed-out chemistry lab? That's Freshman/Sophomore stuff. Were you attending it or teaching it?

Since this is a democratic nation where majority rules, all I have to say is that in the majority of the world, 16 can give consent. Just think if he was in a different state. That part of all this wouldn't be an issue, but the crack and possible rape, yeah.

I took plant molecular biology for my BA lab science requirement..it transfers as a 300 level biology class so I still needed a lower level lab series class for my BS. My physics series satisfied the requirement but since my MS is going to be under the department of electrical engineering I decided to take the full engineering science series which includes the chemistry series as well as physics.

Likewise, instead of taking two semesters of calculus I just picked up math as a minor...I'm in no hurry to graduate.

The rape charge stemmed from the fact she is underage..she was engaged in prostitution as a business venture after all. We live under the social norms of where we reside, if Lawrence wanted to hit underage girls he should have moved to Mexico where its twelve.

Secondly, I think Switzerland is the only democracy in the world...

But why burn your chemistry slot with a basic chem class? Just about any school will let you step up a class or two. You could have at least taken organic chemistry or physical chemistry.

Ohio has a system where every "core requirement" has to be transferable between every state supported school (Ted Strickland). Therefore, its smarter to take basic requirements if you ever intend to get a degree other than the one you're currently pursuing. For example, I was required to do an undergrad thesis at OSU for my BA in lieu of the second quarter writing class because I was in honors history....that meant I later had to complete the core english requirement for my BS. I had to take the second semester of a freshman writing course after I had two semesters of legal writing, a law school thesis, as well as having completed graduate level coursework in history at OSU, which had a substantial writing course load.

Basically, after I finish my PHD I don't want to argue with some bureaucrat about what classes I have to take before I start my MS in economics.

Bump because I hate bureaucrats deciding what classes I have to take...

I just don't buy it. If you made an "A" on a graduate level organic or physical chemistry class, no one is going to stop and wonder if you've taken the chem I they like.

You're going from a BA to an MS EE?

Your General Physics courses and labs (that didn't require Calculus as a prerequisite) wood knot satisfy the requirement and wood have to be repeated.

I understand you're knot in a hurry to graduate, but you're taking an assload of unnecessary courses (at the freshman undergrad) level.

Now that's a great example. Let's say someone took baby physics instead of real physics as a freshman. If they wanted to enter a master's program they'd clearly need X hours (i.e. 32) of an approved math & science core -- and that baby physics class wouldn't be approved. But if you already knew physics, you could fill that science core class with an advanced Electricity & Magnetism or an advanced Statics/Dynamics class and no one would blink an eye. Some of those freshman classes just aren't necessary.

MS in economics is pretty much worthless bro, and i don't think any school worth a shit even lets you get one without moving onto PhD

except "Baby Physics" woodn't meat the prerequisite requirements to take those advanced courses either

and your sciences generally can't be any older than 5 years old for most programs.....but I only read the last like 5 posts

I'm pursuing a BS in CS....You are required at least one semester of calculus and a physics or chemistry series (non-calculus). My chemistry satisfies the engineering BS requirement at UT....just sayin.

A CS degree satisfies the requirement for entry in the MS in EE program but the degree is an MS in engineering....just sayin'. I just decided to take more rigorous coursework because I can and acquiring degrees is my hobby.

PHD in engineering...Yeah...economics degree is worthless if you are looking at making money...my law degree is worthless too. Taking college classes and collecting degrees is my hobby.

I've never taken a graduate level science class...loll. I've taken graduate level writing classes (two semesters of legal writing),written papers for graduate level history classes, did an undergrad thesis for my BA and I still had to take the second semester of freshman writing...lolll.

Now, I could have made an appeal but that wouldn't have been binding for transfer credit which is what I've been doing for the last couple years.

You could have taken a junior/senior level science class as well.

It just seems crazy to me for someone to burn $$$ and time taking freshman level classes. A man's reach should exceed his grasp.

Just sayin'

My uncle does the same thing, he's 55 now and been going to college for 37 yrs. He does not do it for the $$$ just loves to learn and gets bored with the same job. The guy knows 5 languages fluent
just off the top careers (swear to god)

ER surgical specialist
physical therapist
orthodontist
pyschiatrist
pyschologist for the FBI
software programer + worked for the Pentagon making defence simulation programs
College Historian professor
Now he's doing Oriental medicine and practicing private acupuncture

Very unordinary person, creepy personality, 5 marriages, no kids but he is incredibly smart. He's actually too smart, which makes his personality come off as arrogant. It's like talking to someone and they're listening to you with this "I already knows what you will say next" face. Really uncomfortable

When I was little I really thought he had super powers

As an undergrad, I was also in ROTC and on the Ranger Challenge Team which required more time outside my normal coursework. I also had to take extra classes for the honors history program. I took the minimum requirements for my degree for a reason. I was planning on a career in the Army until peace broke out...had I only known slick Willy would lay the groundwork for the "War on Terror"...I would be almost retired as a Colonel by now...I'm too politically incorrect to have ever made the rank of General.

Classes you take toward a specific degree typically expire around 7-8 years, depending on the institution.
I assume you never graduate?

I took the plant molecular biology series in 1992-1993 and it transferred as a 300 level biology class a couple years ago but it was part of a successful degree program.

Those classes are applicable to any degree program.

My next degree will probably be in economics...I'm not trying to elevate myself in a particular program. I'm trying to satisfy the requirements for multiple degrees.

Honestly...Nobody checks the transfer credits of geniuses in their field....Did Descartes satisfy the foreign language requirement for a math degree? :) After all, he was just a philosopher...

my undergrad degree to grad degree ...the science classes couldn't be more than 5 years old...
that was BS neurobiology to MS physicians assistant...and at the sake of putting myself out there for ridicule...my AS in paramedic science didn't roll into the BS neurobiology although all of the core science classes were the same at the 100 and 200 level

there was also a couple of weird loops for my dbl major on the BA side of things as well for some of the social sciences I needed
^^ that was UConn for the undergrads except the AS which was also a state school but not UConn

generally the sciences don't transfer because the basic premise is that science simply changes too rapidly

my husbands engineering degree (mechanical) requires all calculus based physics...any lower level classes he took even if they were 4 credit courses at best only counted as electives for credit requirements

I've never investigated a program where a BS degree in the field wasn't acceptable..no matter how old, as long as you had a recent GRE.

I'd have to open myself up to a very personal story in order to show you the grad school...and I just won't...so...i guess Im at an impasse...GRE doesn't apply fwiw for MS/PA

I'm looking at the requirements for schools in my state. You're saying someone with a BS in engineering has to re-take their science classes to apply for an MS? I need some evidence...Newtonian physics hasn't changed in forever...

True story...I graduated from law school and decided I wanted to write software for a living. I took a programming class taught by a retired professor that was a NASA engineer on the Mercury and Gemini programs...he has a couple of PHD's by that time but just a BS when he worked for NASA ..physics and engineering are his PHD's....he later became an engineer for Ford and ended his professional career at UT as a professor.

To cut a long story short...he commented on the brilliance of my algorithms and that wasting my time pursuing a degree was detrimental to my long term financial success... he was right. I've made a fruitful living in CS with no academic credentials in math or science beyond the basics.I took his "baby physics" class instead of calculus based physics because he had been such an amazing mentor...not the curriculum... I still learned a great deal.

So, I take classes because they challenge me to think differently and use skills that atrophy, not because I need the qualification....I enjoy the learning.

Just sayin'....

Then take Boundary Value Calculus or a good Non-Linear Differential Equations class instead of hanging-out with a bunch of 18 year old freshmen.
