Latest Hour to Eat

I'm trying to cut up right now. Is there an hour that I should not eat past in order to help this process? Any input appreciated.

Not really. In the end it's going to be total daily calories....

You might want to eat bigger meals earlier in the day - to fuel workouts, etc., and then gradually reduce your intake as the day wears on.

yeah, your metabolism is going to be running really slow when you sleep, so you might want to keep the caloric values pretty low to avoid the excess being stored as fat.

i usually will eat cottage cheese and peanut butter 30 minutes before i hit the sack. it's delicious and it keeps your body out of a fasting state for a long time (casein + fat = time released protein).

I'm fine with myself eating close to bedtime as long as it's a protein or fat source. I stay out of carbs normally but I really wouldn't want them before bed. A chicken breast and a tablespoon or two of natural peanut butter are my preference. Though if you're cutting the # of cals you'd want to take it would really depend on how many you'd already consumed that day.

actually, depends when you train....not true that your metab. slows down at night, if that's when you train (which most do).....I eat about 304 handfuls of nuts and a pretty thick ass shake IN BED.....might need to add more because I'm still not putting on the mass.....we'll see.

i agree with JKurz1. it's all relative to when you train, when you go to bed, when your last meal was, ect.

don't starve yourself out of fear of eating close to bedtime. what good is losing fat is you lose muscle too. my suggestion would be to avoid carbs right before bed though (unless you train close to bed), and go with a protein+flax or protein only shake.

:eek2: Whoa that's a lot of nuts!!! I assume you mean 3 or 4?

I usually have a Milk and Egg protein shake mixed with flax and ANPB before going to bed.

lol, 304 handfuls and you're still not gaining mass, maybe because most of it ended up in the toilet, lol just playing with you man, good advice
