Can someone explain to me how the US can do much of anything to these Mexican labs directly? I mean, what power do we have over these labs in Mexico?
I understand what they're doing was wrong, but what penalty can we reasonably enforce? I don't see how we could shut down any of these companies in Mexico or why Mexico would agree to it as it's income for their country.
It seems they may agree to quit smuggling drugs into the US "or (some) else", but that won't stop Americans from doing it. I don't see these labs going anywhere.

Dude that is like saying we can only fight the war on cocaine in the US border, NOT. we used to fight it in Columbia, sending billions of $$ over there. Also sending agents to train the army to fight FARC...so it is an international fight as well for steroids.

WOW the UG labs better start working overtime. I hope the influx of incoming new business does not hurt prices and quality. Time will tell. This whole "Gear Grinder" operation is a complete shame.
On another note....If you are not currently using an encrypted email address (Hush, Cyberights etc...) - do it NOW! I cleaned out my hard drive yesterday. Do not leave any loose ends if something should happen to you. Your computer can be your best friend or you worse enemy. If you are dealing with a source and you like the way business is going then protect yourself and him by doing this now!
Why is the Mexican government going to turn it's head? NAFTA my friends - they can't survive without the United States. They will cooperate and do whatever it takes to keep their relations with the US Gov't in good standing. Satch is right Mexico is just the begining. I hope the major international companies are preparing themselves.
I can't help but put some blame on Jose Conseco for the "gear grinder" operations that are starting to take place. He busted on baseball, which led to congressional hearings meaning that now congressman are ready to do whatever it takes to wipe out steroid use completely. All for money. After "Juiced" hit the bestseller list the shit hit the fan. Overweight, non training, slob congressmen don't give a rats ass about hearing any postive information relating to knowlegeable, responsible steroid use by citizens who prefer to live a lifestyle of training. Meth is an epidemic that is spreading like wildfire to our children. Why is more effort and money being placed on recreational drugs like marijuana and now steroids when literally millions of crack and meth users are poisoning themselves and others every single day.
If citizens are granted the legal right to have dangerous operations & be prescibed synthetic hormones to grow tits, dicks, vaginas because the individual wants to change their appearance then why is it illegal for me to take a sythetic hormone to make my body look better. We need to stand up for our passion of body transformation in which anabolic steroids play a very small role in.
Should motorcycles that can reach deadly speeds of 180+ be outlawed because a few non experienced riders make the choice to push their limits beyond reason and die from an accident? NO Should guns be outlawed because of a few idiots who abuse the privaledge and don't take the time to study gun safety and end shooting themselves or others? NO. Anabolic inhancers are no different. I do realize that Canseco's book was partly intended to send a message that the safe use of anabolics can be very advantageous to the informed responsible user.

I don't think the human grade companies have anything to worry about. Reason these guys got busted was they were directly doing business with U.S. users/remailers/distributors...using U.S. email addys and what not. Had they limited themselves strictly to supplying Mexico this probably never would have happened, would have been nothing the U.S could do.
Satch is right though, the rules are changing. The global economy is changing the way law enforcement jurisdiction is handled. Everyday people are losing more and more of their rights and its becoming easier and easier for the government to track people's activities. Right now steroids are public enemy # 1. A couple years ago it was meth, a couple years before that it was ecstasy. Law enforcement agencies need to make a few big busts a year to let the public know that these things are being taken seriously and an effort is being made to stop it. This will all die down a little down the road. Until then we all need to watch our backs and be extra careful.
