he has highly specialized athletic ability. he is good at what he does, thats all. it doesnt make him a better athlete, just a really good athlete. there are plenty of good athletes on this board, good at things he cant do, you cant do or most of this board cant do.....kobe just has his skills on display.

the sad part is that he makes a tremendous amount of money doing this and there are more grueling sports where compensation is meager at best. those athletes are doing it truly for the love of the sport.

not at all. All elite athletic ability is highly specialized except for the odd out of this world freak of nature.

I don't know if its sad that he makes so much money. people are dumb enough to be influenced by endorsements and they do support the market. Also he is a tremendous athlete plain and simple, as a he is one of the 2 key players on the Lakers and already has won 2 championships and i say this in spite of the fact that i hate the lakers.
