Knee issues....

Mostly eleptical also do some strip tease arobics but it is way low impact. I rarely run or jog when I do mad shin splints and knee pain.

What brand elliptical?

That could be a culprit. Unless it is a Precor Elliptical, the motion is NOT turely an elliptical motion. Precor owns the "rights" to the elliptical motion. Since you are moving in a set plane, if it is a poorly designed machine, then you are getting a TON of pressure on the knee.

For example, LifeFitness Elliptical / Crosstrainer - if I do this more than 1x a week, I will get mad knee pain. The motion is not well designed.

The others, lesser known brands, well, they are likely shit. My hubby has sold exercise equipment (pretty much all brands) for many years. The only elliptical he would bring home is the Precor - the rest he wouldn't take for free.

If you ARE doing the Precor, then I would lower the ramp (incline), as that also contributes to knee pain in many.

Women's knees track differently also from men's -- women are more "knock-kneed" due to how our hips are structured..... I make sure I pay close attn. to my knee placement when doing anything -- make sure they track straight....
