damn, mine's no where near as good as these. I was doing tbar rows thursday w/ my makeshift t bar. i just lay an olympic bar down and load the one side and put a plate over the other one. I've done this countless times. A personal trainer was working out w/ his client right by me doing pressdowns. His client wasn't hot, but petite and pretty enough to atleast make you check her out. Well, during my 2nd set w/ 4 45's my lower back went, it was like a pop or pull or something. being the brainiac i am i finished up the set, walked off the pain and proceeded to my next heavier set. The trainer (aaron, good guy) looks at me and after seeing me in pain goes "paul, you sure that's a good idea, you look like that last set hurt" I said, 'no worries' i then proceeded to lift the bar, drop all the weight and then the bar bc the 45 plate i use to hold the other end down didn't hold. well, color me stupid, now him and his client are looking at me to see if im ok, i was kind of in shock bc i've never ever had the weight fall like that , so undaunted, i pile the weights on again. Once again, i drop all the weights and the bar falls as well. Ok, by this time i'm pissed. I was hell bent on finishing my sets so i go over to the girl behind the counter who is also a friend and happens to be on crutches bc she broke her foot. I said "sarah, i need your help for a second' she says 'paul, there is no way i can spot you" i say "i only need u to use ur foot to keep the bar in place' 'paul, i only have one foot right now' i say "lets use the good one then'. So, now it's the tall guy in the gym(me) walking funny w/ the cripple girl helping him to do his sets. Aaron and his client are politely ignoring me at this point since they were raised well enough not to make fun of people who are either obviously mentally deficient or insane.
