Just did SPRINTS for the first time in years.

Where do you run your sprints? I try and run on the treadmill but its not fast enough and I live in a subdivision with a semi busy road.

Windsprints are a great tool for fat loss.
On a treadmill you can do them but you need to put the inline up pretty high and at least 10 miles an hour.

-find a local park or highschool. You can also take some dumbells with you for farmer walks. These work great for separation of your delts and forearms.

I did my sprints in a grassy area next to the totlot in my townhouse cluster. i ran diagonals across it and would coast onto the gold course we are on. I'd say one diagonal was about 35-40 yards and the other one was about 25 yards. I'd do one, walk one side to the next start position, run the next one, etc.

As far as benefits, mostly faster recovery from squat day. Maybe some growth from hitting fast-twitch muscle fibers, maybe some fat loss. Also it feels good just to run as fast as you can. And of course to keep my speed up in case I decide to play flag football or something.

sprints rock, they help my overall speed and power by really focusing on fast twitch fibers in the legs and shoulder(pumping arms)... Great fat burner and cardio....
