meal 1 1/4 cup of cottage cheese with pineapple
meal 2 2 cups of eggwhites
meal 3 1 can of tuna
meal 4 1 can of tuna
PWO On whey shake
meal 5 chicken vegetable soup with multigrain pasta
meal 6 1.5 oz of almonds

last week til the honeymoon...i will basically be in starvation mode until monday...which is fine. i'm not where i wanna be at this time so my cals will be real low for the next 5-6 days....under 1600-1800. my workouts will def suffer a bit but i'm not putting on any new muscle this week anyway so i don't care. i'll aslo be doing about 20 minutes of cardio a day pwo

just a quick note in regards to training....i'm going to start training chest and back on different days just b/c i've started doing heavier compound movement for back. aftre i train chest i feel my back workout suffers some b/c i'm not fresh....well that's changing starting today. also it will allow me to focus more on that particular body part...and do some cardio after it's done

well, it would have been but at like 9pm i had 2 big bowls of granola raisin cereal lol. prob about 600 cals....i can't seem to fight that urge around 9pm to eat something i know i'm not supposed to.

Man, it's called 1700 cals in a day, lol....I'm surprised you didn't eat the whole box.

I don't know what it is about restricted cal diets, but they are cake in the morning/afternoon/evening, then at night it's a struggle.
 
your absolutely right biggt....i'm fine all day...i mean i'm a fawking machine. i never deviate from my first 6 meals....but then when 9pm hits i'll eat like a complete "asshole" lol. i try and eat my almonds to hold me over but that never works....i feel like i need another meal no matter how much i eat for dinner. tonight if i feel the urge to eat like an "asshole" i'll throw down a muscle milk shake. we'll see though :evil:

Muscle milk has some cals/fat, so it may do the trick......I don't care what people say about almonds and their nutritional profile, they don't fill me up. I can eat a bag of them, then go eat some 'real' food.

Your meal 5 is just too healthy and unsatisfying I think, lol

i love almonds...but liek you said they never fill me. i can eat about 100 almonds and still go looking for dinner lol

i actually enjoy my meal 5....i love rice and can live off it...and i love green veggies....and i use some rosemary, salt, pepper, and garlic on the chicken to make it taste....well tasty. i was craving a double meat sandwich from quiznos though :evil:

incline bb 135x15 145x12...shoulder didn;t feel great so went to a hammer strength machine and did 2 other sets

dips bwx4x15 ***such a great exercise for chest...i feel these are not emphasized enough. they should be incorporated in every routine somehow.

cable crossovers 4x15,12,10,8

20 minutes treadmill 12% incline 3.0

MY $.02 throw away as necessary but for those reading this looking up to you...

Id be starving too if I were eating as little as you during the day... esp when youve been doing this for as long as you have with your personal goal in mind... No, you will NOT be full, you ARE starving yourself for the activity you do (going off what I remember)... without reading your log I bet there was a few binges in there as well as late night hunger pangs to eat the house very often if not daily... Im assuming cravings as well

Before bed last thing you want is to fill yourself with is carbs that cannot be USED (I didnt name specifics here btw)...
Your body is more likely to munch on protein tissues and save the rest for fat storage, Im pretty sure that is a proven fact after a certain amount of time ... after a week or two, nah, youll be fine, going on 2+ weeks, your body WILL start to change and adjust to the lack of nutrients as it had time to catch up to what you have been ingesting, or lack there of...

All the best to you, I know you dont listen to me but for the others who follow your log and may not post.. etc..

bunz....OF COURSE I LISTEN TO YOU!!! you have taught me so much since joing here what you say is pretty much gospel! i am stubborn though i'll give you that but whenever you make a suggestion i always contemplate it. i appreciate your honesty always and your sincerity :rose:

my way of thinking is if i binge the way i do at night i might as well make sure the calories are light during the day (1600-1800) b/c by days end i'll prob end up with 2400 cals. i feel if i ate more during the day it wouldn;t have an effect on me meaning i would still be just as hungry at night. from now on i'm just going to throw down a muscle milk shake around 9...that at least fills me.

That should not happen.

Maybe you need to adjust your ratios to make your body happier.
 
hmmm....maybe if i threw in oatmeal in meals 2 and 4??? i'll try that tomorrow...bunz/sarge what do you think? that would be another 60g of carbs i'm adding roughly...and about 400 cals
 
Generically hunger exists from lack of food, healthy fats, poor meal combining, over eating of carbs/sugar (brain rips thru glucose it and you're hungry again), your BODY telling you to feed it so it can hold onto to tissues being munched on for 'nourishment' ... Im sure there's alot more, stress, anxiety, etc...
I dig the idea of protein + fat before training and protein + carb post

but i dont know HOW you are going to respond since IMO your metabolism took a bit of a beating over the last few weeks.

If you train in the PM then of COURSE you are going to want to CHOW post wo, my last meal was ALWAYS the largest, after training shake, an hour later, meat, tato/rice/ veggie ... but I could get away with it b/c my body adjusted and I trained in the evening (back in the project days)

I dunno jp, Im not telling you what to do, but I KNOW why you are suffering that's for sure, just make note of it for next time you can try it a different way.

ok....i read you loud and clear. i think i'm hungry alot more at night b/c i train at night. maybe i'll ditch the pwo shake and eat real food b/c that shake does nothing for me in the area of filling me. lets see if i can tweak the diet a little with your help

meal 1 1/4 cup of cottage cheese and pineapple
meal 2 2 cups of eggwhites and 1/2 cup of oats
meal 3 grilled chicken (or some type of lean beef) with green veggies
meal 4 i can of tuna and 1/2 cup of oats
pwo 2 cups of eggwhites and 1/2 cup of oats
meal 5 chicken or beef with wild rice and green veggies
meal 6 22 almonds

i'll try this starting tomorrow and i'll see if i'm less hungry in the evening. hoepfully i'm not this way i'll avoid eatin like 3k cals for the day
 
I put the frozen berries into my post workout shake along with oats and protein and I find it to be EXTREMELY filling.. because the frozen berries make it a thick and rich consistency... just a thought mang.

I dont think 2 cups of egg whites are gonna give u a filling feeling at all, but try it and see what works.

It very subjective but fat usually does fill a person a little bit , and NOT like a handful of almonds... I can easily eat a bag = 2700 cals later lol...
maybe even some added to meal 3 grilled chicken (or some type of lean beef) with green veggies.. (olive oil ? )

I dunno, just ideas... you are going to look killer at your wedding, I really wouldnt worry about it JP, it's going to be a wonderful day . best wishes
 
Congrats on the wedding, wedding pics are a good reason to not look bloated, lol.....I've been 'ordered' to trim down and look "normal" for special occasions before, lol, you gotta do what you gotta do.....my advice is eat like a pig at the reception after all the pics are taken.

My mom wanted to KILL me in high school because I look like a goof with no neck in my Sr pics....but I couldnt afford to trim down before football season.

well i took your advice bunz....well sort of anyway. my pwo was a meal yesterday and not a shake (1 cup of eggwhites and 1 weight control oatmeal)...this def filled me up more....when it was time for my next meal i wasn't as hungry. my last meal was asparagus, chicken, and another oatmeal. then about 45 minutes later i ate some almonds and i was full. i think this little change will do me good :)

hahahahaha!!! too funny...i actually got that from an ex about 5 years ago....one of my friends bet me i couldn't get to 200lbs in 3 months...at the time i was 175. when it was all said and done i was a bloated 205. i just didn't look right...my face was fat and i had the biggest dumper you ever seen lol. my ex threatened to break up with me if i didn't slim down...stupid bitch :chomp:

had a late night feeding of about 8 pecans but nothing bad so i'm happy with that

thx everyone for your well wishes....tomorrow is the big day. she left for her mothers (we live together) around 3 this afternoon and that's when it hit....pretty anxious right now, a little scared, a little excited, a little lonely....tons of emotions all at once....kind of overwhelming!!

i'm sure when i wake up tomorrow i'll feel great and ready to go......as for now i'm going to eat my chicken and wild rice and watch some tv.....take a xanax and try and fall asleep. i'll post pics when i get back in a few weeks. ciao!!!! i'll miss you guys!

ladies and gentleman i am back...unfortunately. the wedding went so great...my honeymoon was so great!!! feels so surreal but now i joined the club...i'm married. (what an asshole huh!?!?) so much to do now that i'm back...will try and catch up on everyone's logs....missed ef a ton!!! will post pics up very soon.....

p.s. i think every guy at the resort i stayed at was on gear....so my shirt stayed on most of the time lol. i was pretty pissed off about that!!!!

al- my one fear of bulking is that i'll get stronger and the more weight i'll be pushing will prob not be a good thing for my injuries. (back, shoulder, knee) unless i start doing a ton more volume either reps or sets. i put on weight very easily...not a challenge at all. cutting is my challenge!

bunz- i was def sober in that pic right? hahahahaha!!!

Thx Guys....tough Being Back After 2 Whole Weeks Of Being Off From Work And In The Sun. Anyway, Trying To Get Back Into The Diet Thingy....i Keep Half Assing My Cut So It Always Seems Like I'm Cutting And Not Going Anywhere. I Should Prob Say Fawk It And Bulk But I Really Really Want To Get To 6% Lol. Going To Stick To My Usual Diet And Try Not To Cheat Late Nights Like I Usually Do. Upping My Cardio A Little And We'll See What Happens
