dude, that's blasphemy. how am i? eh...well, i came back from the gym 30 minutes ago.

after a set, i dropped a dumbbell on the floor, as usual. unfortunately, my ipod had fallen out of my pocket and onto the floor. guess what fell on it.

That's messed up, I hope it was a shuffle. I had to switch to them just for that reason. One time I went to a friends gym with him, I forgot to take my shades off and didn't need the locker room so I set them on the floor by my towel. I let him know the were there however within 2 minutes he still had stepped on them. I was out 150.

it's a nano, gen 2. i just got it earlier this year.

thing is, it still works. the dumbbell apparently only caved in the metal housing right near the connector. of course, that means i can't charge or update it. hopefully the connector pins are still in tact, but i can't tell. i don't know how i can get into that small space and push out the metal back into shape at all, let alone without damaging the pins.

i don't suppose this kind of fuck-up has any kind of warranty coverage...

I hate electronics, well actually I love them I just spend way to much money on them.

That sucks big time, I crushed a pair of earphones like that. I have never had an Ipod, but I did just get one of those Zunes and I personally think it rocks. The thing is build like a rock too.
