Doing 4 sets of flat bench press, 4 sets of incline bench press, 3 or 4 sets of DB press and 3 or 4 sets of incline DB press...all for chest
Do you think this is overtraining?
Thx in advance.

when you get to the d/b ,you are doing the first two moves over again.do your flat bench, incline, and maybe throw in the flyes.when you want to chnge to d/b for variety, come in and do d/b flat bench,d/b incline, and so on.keep mixing it up.

no i dont really think that is overtraining. all u need to do is do a little warmup on the first set of the four of all those exercises. the chest is a big muscle so it needs worked hard to become fatigued. 4 sets on four exercises should be fine

Whatsup bro? I dont know bro your cutting it close to overtraining.. I mean 4 different heavy compound movements is really tough on your rotator cuffs and is physically exausting for your body. I mean if I were you I would do the following... this is what worked for me... alternate starting your workouts with either a flat or an incline press. (week 1 incline, week 2 flat) and also alternate whether your using barbells or dumbbells every week. I would suggest doing 2 pressing exercises, an isolation movement (dumbbell flyes for example, cable crossovers, pec-deck flyes), and finish off with dips. Here is a way to mix-up the first two pressing exercises in your routine to always be hitting your chest a little bit differently:
Week 1.
incline barbell presses
flat dumbbell presses
Week 2.
flat barbell presses
incline dumbbell presses
Week 3.
incline dumbbell presses
flat barbell presses
Week 4.
flat dumbbell presses
incline dumbbell presses
You can try this if you want it always kept my pecs growing. I ALWAYS would mix up my first two pressing exercises, move onto heavy flat, or incline dumbbell flyes, and finish off my pecs with dips. I would suggest working your chest ONE time per week, no more with this type of volume. Also dont forget the importance of parellel bar dips. Theyre known as the "upper-body squat" my many and the #1 chest exercise in my opinion. Good luck with your pec development bro keep is up.. ask ?s if you confused about anything.
