ok so i get up bout 7am and i run at 8am, im not hungry at all when i wake up, no appetite. but i try and drink a shake before i go out running 20P 10gC then when i get back i have my eggs and oatmeal post work out. im just wondering if its ok to do it in that order or should i really try and eat real food first thing off the bat, goal is losing fat.

if your goal is to lose fat then you should do your running on a completely empty stomach.

Why is it that you would workout on a empty stomach if you want to loose fat? I was understanding that your body needs energy and needs to hit certain goals such as protein/fat/carbs/tcals according to some of the guys here. Hence getting your metabolism working for you first thing in the morning. Wouldnt it be eating at your lbm? Im just asking cause im curious...

Yeah, I don't even know how you can pound a protein shake and then go running. Lots of people like to roll out of bed and do cardio immediately before their mind even knows what's going on :P This would help your appetite too. I hear you should eat within 90 minutes of waking up, with the sooner the better

in order to lose fat your body needs to use it as fuel. your body needs a lot of fuel to run. your body will draw on whatever sources are the easiest. if you have food in your system it will use that. if you dont what will it use? it will draw from fat and muscle. it will draw more from fat and less from muscle in the beginning say first 20mins. you can help put these ratios in your favor with an anti catabolic like ephedra.

let me point out that im not a scientist and im not up on all the mumbo jumbo so my explination may not be exact but its in the right ball park. i am 100% sure that you will burn more fat in less time doing it this way.

Fn'a.... Another reason why i love this site.... Allright looks like im gonna give running in the morning before i have breakfeast a shot. =)

OP, get yourself some BCAA's and take them pre-fasted cardio. That'll keep you anti-catabloic, which is what you want.

correct answer. mix up in some h2o (i do a glutamine mix then 15 min later the BCAA mix. then 15 min later start cardio.

bcaa's do work but..... ephedrine works better for me atleast.

you answered it yourself. more fat loss. also less muscle loss.

i agree its the best way and then after you run wait a bit and then have a light meal chicken, salad wal nuts or sub the product for something else light if you dont like the food above etc...

not quite, i said it also increased cortisol levels, which means possibility for more muscle loss

i dont find that to be the case. ephedrine is verry anabolic. if there is any bad i doubt it comes close to outweighing the good. but like i said thats just for me.

bcaa's are definately good and i drink them in my big blast every day sometimes 2 times. i just find ephedrine to be more effective in a couple areas then any other otc i have used. i would take it with the cafine and asprin also about 20-40 minutes before i did cardio. the asprin causes a shorter but more effective window.

ephedrine is anabolic? can you show me were you read this, i've heard that clenbuterol and albuterol are anti-catabolic but noone has every proven this

nope. dont beleive it if you dont want to. im just stating what works for me. i dont get into all of those studies because i find most of them to be crap. i do my own studies on my own body. this way i know what really works for me.

id say that if you where dieting down with added cardio recording everything with no sups other that a multi v, shakes, glutamine, and creatine and noticed a bit of muscle loss so you stopped and bulked back up then a few months later did the exact same thing with added ephedrine and noticed verry little muscle loss i would have to say that the ephedrine is a good anabolic supporter. this is what i did.

k, i get where you are coming from, i'm not trying to be brash if i'm coming off that way, but i've never heard ephedrine called anabolic, you could make a case for it being anti-catabolic due to beta 1,2,3 adrenoreceptor antagonization but i've never seen anything to point to that

either way, everyone's different, though the cortisol thing still gets me lol

i dont think you are being brash. just speaking your mind the same as i am. no problems.
